The interplay between Jesper Karlsson and Adil Aouchiche in the build-up to the former stinging the palms of Dave Richards in the United goal was a real pleasure to watch.

The only thing missing was the goal on the end of it, but in fairness Karlsson gave it a good go.

Jesper Karlsson jinks one way, and the other, before aiming for the top-right corner.

But United keeper Dave Richards is over to his left to parry away.

A moment of quality from the Dons forward.

Aberdeen with plenty of possession so far, but they have failed to really do anything significant with it.

United are keeping their shape well and have got in behind the Dons a couple of times.

Aouchiche has got to be more accurate.

We're still waiting for real quality to appear in this game.

In comes an outswinging corner from Stuart Armstrong.

It's cleared as far as Adil Aouchiche, who then puts a pass straight out the park.

Adil Aouchiche sends Vicko Sevelj for an overpriced meal deal then aims for the far corner, but it's off target from the Dons forward.

Falkirk manager John McGlynn tells BBC Scotland: "There wasn't an awful lot in it, a penalty kick is what separates the two teams. We huffed and puffed a bit, didn't quite start the game as well as we wanted to.

"Dundee got themselves in a position where they shut up shop, and we didn't quite have the quality today to get something out of the game.

"Dundee are a really well-organised team, but we didn't turn the ball over enough, didn't have the quality and it just didn't quite click for us. It's not the end of the world, but yes, we're disappointed.

"And the penalty kick for handball, it's a lottery. He's gone to block the shot and if he has made his body bigger, by the letter of the law, it's a penalty. But some you get and some you don't."

Will Ferry clips it into the box and Krisztian Keresztes' header is into the arms of Dimitar Mitov.

The Aberdeen keeper then punts the ball off Amar Fatah and the ball is in the net, but the United man is penalised for being in close proximity.

Not much to report from Pittodrie, with neither side yet to have a shot.

It's a physical encounter as United striker Max Watters clatters into a challenge.

St Mirren boss Stephen Robinson tells BBC Scotland: "Frustration [is the main emotion]. We had so much of the ball, so much of the build. Our final decision was the reason we don't take all three points.

"We deserved to win the game, I thought we had a lot of ownership of the game.

"Killie offered a threat on the counter-attack. They've got some good players at the top end of the pitch, but the overriding emotion is probably frustration with that amount of the ball, that amount of chances, that amount of crosses.

"But if you're not clinical, then you don't get the three points. The positive is we've gone five unbeaten now in all competitions, and that's our third clean sheet in a row in the league.

"That's a real positive for us and we want to keep that run going."
