This nonsense about ‘fleeting grab’ is ridiculous. Why is it if you graze someone with your foot making a genuine tackle, people say ‘well there was contact’…. But players are now allowed to grab players as long as it’s ’not for too long’... I’m an Everton fan, and that’s infuriated me.

It has been very quiet with not really too much quality on show. I think both teams will be going in disappointed that they haven't give more but there is still 45 minutes to go and if one of these teams can come out better than they've shown in the first half then this game is there for the taking.

On dealing with pressure: "I said in an interview a couple of weeks ago, we just need to be calm and level-headed. Never get too high or too low. We know the results will come.
"There's a lot of noise sometimes, but one win can change things. We just need to pick up the points and the table looks a lot different now."
"In the first half, we were there or thereabouts. We had the goal and we knew that in the second half, if we stayed calm and kicked on, we will get the result that we need. "
On scoring twice: It felt nice. I missed a couple of chances in the first half. But I had to stay composed and wait for when another chance come again.
"We got goals everywhere. People are good at providing goals also. When Newcastle are free-flowing and at full force, anyone can score."

"It was a tough phase of the game. I thought we were the better team until they score and they scored out of a moment really and they had momentum. We came strong again in the last 10 minutes and it was a difficult phase of the game that we had to stand up and be counted in."
How important will that be come the end of the season? "Who knows? It is a big three points for us. We have missed out on points lately that we feel we should have won. To pick up those points was really good. We will train this week and take each one as it comes. We will enjoy every one."

I still don't feel like Liverpool will be able to go the distance. So many times we say 'they're not at their best' that eventually you need to accept that they aren't actually capable of what we're imagining and they just played out of their skin against Real and City. Chelsea seem odds on at the moment.

"We had a similar situation a couple of seasons ago away at City and they dominated us. We could have punished them more. We feel like Kenny got fouled in the build-up to the first goal.
"Most of the game it didn't feel like they had 10. It's hard to transfer it into attacking with quality after defending. Credit to them, it didn't feel like they had 10 men at all.
"We felt like Kenny would get there if he wasn't fouled. I think they're a physical team, they pull our striker down and get away with it.
"I've been putting the effort in on and off the pitch to try and help the team. On the whole, the team's been playing better this year."

Nottingham Forest have won just one of their last 11 Premier League games against Aston Villa (D5 L5), though it was a 2-0 victory in this exact fixture last season.
Aston Villa are winless in their last five Premier League away games against Nottingham Forest, though four of these have ended level (L1). Their last such victory was in January 1995 under Brian Little (2-1).
This will be Nottingham Forest’s 5,000th match in the top four tiers of English football, the 12th side to reach that milestone in English Football League history.
