Nottingham Forest have got the quality and they've got the players up top.

They've got players Morgan Gibbs-White. Callum Hudson-Odoi, Anthony Elanga and not to mention Chris Wood, who is their goalscorer on many occasions this season.

They've got the tools to go as far as they want to go and if they keep pushing like they did today, they will be right up there.

It is a huge win for Nottingham Forest. They are enjoying this chapter of their season.

The first half was very scrappy, but Forest tried to create as much as they can. Villa scored against the run of play but Forest kept on pushing. They fully deserved the win.

One thing that impressed me about Forest is their character. They bounced back from a goal against the run of play and then a disallowed goal. They were not happy with the 1-1 draw and they pushed on to get the win.

The second half the game completely came to life. You could see once Forest get in the ascendency, Villa could not get out.

What a win for Nottingham Forest.

The Forest players are absolutely delighted with that and rightly so. They hustled and hustled and never gave up for those three points.

Concerningly for Villa, they have conceded eight goals in the last 15 minutes of the second half, only Wolverhampton Wanderers (nine) have conceded more in the Premier League this season.

That's it! All over!

A hugely impressive performance at the end there from Nottingham Forest. A remarkable end to the game.

Surely Matz Sels' kick will be the last action of the game. The scarves are being twirled in the stands.

Aston Villa are probing. They win a throw-in right at the end. It's hurled in but Willy Boly heads it away.

Ian Maatsen sends it back into the box but Ezri Konsa is surrounded by Forest players. Somehow he manages to cut it back to a teammate but John McGinn's eventual effort skies over the bar.

Surely that's it?

We're into the final minute of additional time. You honestly wouldn't be surprised to see another goal here, though.

You would say that Forest have had the lion's share of this match. It was tough to see who may come out on top because it has been very tight but the home side have shown a lot of character.

Some may point out that Elliot Anderson nipping the ball away from Matty Cash to then cut back for Anthony Elanga's goal was a foul but the referee deemed it was won fairly.

The character of this Nottingham Forest side - they come back and come back and never want to be beaten.

You can't say they don't deserve it. They've kept pushing and pushing. They've been superb in the second half.
