Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Sportsound: "I don't think the fans are booing our players or the performance.

"I think they're as frustrated as we are. I can't afford a suspension so I have to be really careful with the words I use to describe the officials.

"It's a bad night for us. Absolutely everything that could have gone against us did.

"We'll have to look at the red cards and see if there's any chance of an appeal but I wouldn't hold out hope."

McInnes was also full of praise for goalscorer Pierre Landry Kabore.

"When you get injuries to key players, and a lot was made of that, there is an emphasis from others to step in," the Hearts boss said.

"But I think there's a lot of lads who've been itching to play their part. I thought Kabore's intelligence was really good today.

"It was good for him to get a couple of goals and I thought he looked a very competent player. He's come up trumps tonight."

Hearts boss Derek McInnes tells BBC Sportsound: "I spoke 'before the game] about how difficult the challenge was going to be.

"We had to turn up tonight and do our work well. I thought we settled and controlled the game really well, particularly with Marc Leonard.

"Once we got that first goal, a brilliant goal from Kabore, I thought we showed real authority, maturity and calmness in the game. It just felt like it was going to be our night.

"I thought we were really strong throughout. I thought we started better, imposed ourself on the game and scored good goals."

I think United can [get dragged into a relegation battle]. I think it will depend on who can find a bit of consistency over the next six or seven games.

  8. Small positives for Unitedpublished at 22:13 GMT 31 January

The thing that Jim Goodwin can commend the players for is that they stayed at it right to the death, they didn't down tools.

I think the discipline in the first half they managed to maintain because it looked like it could have got out of hand at one point.

They made a game of it in the second half, albeit when it gets to 3-0 the game is done.

  9. Halkett full of praise for Kaborepublished at 22:07 GMT 31 January

    FT: Dundee United 0-3 Hearts

Craig Halkett tells Sky Sports: "I think a performance like that's been coming.

"[Lawrence] Shankland is a huge player to come out of our team but I think Pierre Landry Kabore came in and showed he can more than do the same.

"He helped the boys get up the pitch. I'm buzzing for him.

  10. Camara let team downpublished at 22:01 GMT 31 January

    FT: Dundee United 0-3 Hearts

From a United point of view it's not great.

In the first half they had chances to put the ball into the box and make Hearts defend, they didn't do that and then all of a sudden they concede the goal, get a man sent off, concede the penalty.

They find a way back into the game, frustrating Hearts, and then the incident with Camara you could see the stadium empty.

I don't think Jim could have done anything else, I think the players need to hold their hands up. Camara has let his players down and has let Jim down.

If you offered Derek McInnes 3-0 at the start of play he would have bitten your hand off for him

I'm maybe being a bit negative but I think he'll be disappointed with the way they managed the second half.

If they're going to go on and win the title, complacency cannot be any part of the game.
