Chelsea hit the front for a second time and it's a milestone moment for youngster Lexi Potter, who nets her first senior goal for Chelsea on her first top-flight start for the club.

She's in the right place at the right time to smash a bouncing ball into the net from inside the six-yard box.

    Chelsea 1-1 Brighton

Brighton have made a good go of this first 40 or so minutes against Chelsea.

They certainly don't look like a team that have lost four of their past five in the WSL and who are missing a few key players away at the Asian Cup.

  3. CLOSE!published at 19:38 GMT 18 March

    Chelsea 1-1 Brighton

Rachel McLauchlan strides onto a loose ball on the edge of the penalty area, taking a touch to evade the charging block from Alyssa Thompson before firing just over the upright.

    Decent effort.

    West Ham 0-0 Manchester United

Shekiera Martinez does well to shake off her marker on the West Ham right and fire a devilish cross into the six yard box but United captain Maya le Tissier meets it with an emphatic clearance.

Marc Skinner: "We need to be ruthless in the final third." How many times have we heard that from him this season and last season? He is the coach, he needs to improve the players so they ARE ruthless in the final third!

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 19:35 GMT 18 March

    Chelsea 1-1 Brighton

Wieke Kaptein is the next player into the box for a cynical shirt pull on Brighton full-back Manuela Vanegas as the Colombian looked to dart away from her.

  7. Postpublished at 19:34 GMT 18 March

    Chelsea 1-1 Brighton

Sandy Baltimore breaks into space high on the left and hits an awkward ball into the box. In truth it was neither a shot nor a cross and after a bit of a flapping punch from Chiamaka Nnadozie Brighton get it away.

It is poor from Katie Zelem there.

Terland in the past few games has been moving into more of a 10 position and that is why she is able to pick up that turnover from Zelem.

Former Manchester United captain Katie Zelem overplays in front of her own 18 yard box and gets herself and current side West Ham in trouble.

Elisabeth Terland shoulders her off it and gets a shot away but stopper Kinga Szemik is there to spare her team-mate's blushes.

    Chelsea 1-1 Brighton

Former Chelsea midfielder Jelena Cankovic lofts the ball into the box but it's towards no-one in particular and Chelsea scramble it clear.

    West Ham 0-0 Manchester United

Manchester United have taken control of the early possession here without carving out any clear-cut chances yet.

West Ham seem happy to contain them and wait for a chance to spring on the counter.

Lucy Bronze curls a searching long ball into the right channel for Lauren James to chase but she's unable to make anything of it.

At the other end there's a nervy moment for Hannah Hampton, who dwells slightly too long on the ball on her goalline after receiving a back pass.

The England number one gets her clearance away just in time before Madison Haley can divert it goalwards.

And we are finally under way in east London.

Carla Camacho has been a handful for the Chelsea defence in these opening 25 minutes.

Forgot to mention earlier that her equaliser was her first WSL goal for Brighton. Quite the time and place to get that.

The teams are out at Chigwell Construction Stadium and are gathering around the centre circle for their own moment of silence to honour former England youth keeper Amy Carr and Oxford United academy keeper Amelia Aplin.

    Another impeccably observed tribute.

Manchester United manager Marc Skinner, speaking to BBC Three:

On the delay: "You have to move with these things. You have to move with the game and the challenge ahead."

On bouncing back from the League Cup final: "You hurt from a loss but you're also ready to put that performance in for the game ahead. Psychologically we are in the space where that is the intention. If we can give it, hopefully we can have the chance to win."

On his message tonight: "Tonight is about running out, fighting, outworking West Ham and being ruthless in the final thirds. We need to get back to the clean sheet mentality and finishing the chances we create. We must make sure we finish them."

It's massive for West Ham. It would allow them to get breathing space but also take the pressure off which allows the players to get more confidence. The record at home hasn't been great so it's also about performing at home, making it difficult for Manchester United and forcing them to play at their best.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 19:21 GMT 18 March

    Chelsea 1-1 Brighton

Youngster Lexi Potter is upended on her first senior league start as Chelsea look to work their way back into the lead.

Brighton defender Manuela Vanegas goes into the book for said late tackle.

A win is great for them because it allows them to continue the momentum they've already built but also to take that into the Champions League qualification. It's also the opportunity to bounce back from the final. They can't allow the disappointment of the final to unravel everything else they're targeting.
