Kilmarnock manager Neil McCann has three new signings on the bench and tells BBC Scotland: "A lot of work done by the club to get those guys over the line and registered for today.

"What they bring is a bit of speed and directness, which we have been maybe a bit short of.

"They're so fresh in the club it would have been unfair on them and the team to disrupt things, but they will play a part today at some point.

"Sometimes somebody walking into your dressing room changes the energy within it - and because of the type of players they are as well.

"I think it gives everyone a lift and more of a threat in the team."

St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Scotland: "We can go above Dundee by winning the game. That's the instant goal.

"Until you start winning games regularly, everyone in the bottom six is in a relegation battle.

"A freshness and a little tweak in system. New players coming in give everyone a freshness, the fans, the staff, other players. It gives us options from the bench too.

"At last, the squad looks strong to go for 90 minutes. Hopefully they can hit the ground running."

Aberdeen interim manager Peter Leven tells BBC Scotland: "Attitude and application is key here. You've got to win your battles and duels and then bring the quality.

"The last two games have been really good."

On midfielder Lyall Cameron's impact on loan from Rangers, Leven says: "A quality little player. His touch and awareness and the energy he brings. I said to him today: 'You're due a goal wee man.' So he says he's going to score two."

On on-loan QPR centre-half Liam Morrison's debut, Leven adds: "He's a leader, brings calmness on the ball. He's coming from a very good level, the Championship in England, and hopefully he can bring that calmness."

Motherwell manager Jens Berthel Askou tells BBC Scotland: "We're getting a little bit boring, aren't we? No, we've been able to keep some consistency.

"It's been a good week between the games and we think this is the team that will start the game well against a side I have the utmost respect for, because I've seen them hurt not just us but also bigger clubs than us.

"It's important that the confidence we've built doesn't become overconfidence. The sense of composure can't become relaxation."

Motherwell make just one change from the 4-0 defeat of Kilmarnock, with right-back Johnny Koutroumbis coming in for Emmanuel Longelo, who drops to the bench.

Sam Nicholson comes into the squad for the first time in 11 months, following an injury to his patella tendon.

Since signing two years ago, the 31-year-old former Hearts midfielder has made just 26 appearances in all competitions.

Jayden Richardson, Conor McMenamin, Declan John and Mikael Mandron drop to the bench.

Wing-backs Tunmise Sobowale and Scott Tanser, plus striker Jake Young, all start, while on-loan Cardiff City striker Kion Etete makes his debut after recovering from a hamstring problem.

All three of Kilmarnock's signings from the last 48 hours are on the bench this afternoon.

On-loan Rangers winger Findlay Curtis, fellow wide man Nicky Clescenco, formerly of Zimbru Chisinau, and former Manchester United striker Joe Hugill could make their debuts later in the game.

Goalkeeper Max Stryjek is back on the bench after recovering from heart surgery.

David Martindale makes three changes to the Livingston side that were swept aside 6-2 by Aberdeen last week, handing two full debuts to his winter signings.

Guinea-Bissau left-back Babacar Fati, previously of SJK in Finland, comes in, as does Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Danso, previously of Stabæk in Sweden.

Scott Pittman is the other change in midfield.

Samson Lawal and Lewis Smith drop to the bench, while there is no Mahamadou Susoho and forward Jeremy Bokila is suspended.

It was the big one in the Championship live on the BBC last night as Partick Thistle's late penalty in Perth kept the gap at the top between themselves and leaders St Johnstone to two points.

Third-top Arbroath have a chance to close on the top two as they visit Queen's Park.
