Dominic Solanke just fails to meet Richarlison's neat ball across the face of goal, but the flag goes up anyway - Richarlison was just offside at the start of that move when he broke through to chase Djed Spence's pass.

    Aston Villa 1-0 West Ham

Konstantinos Mavropanos brings down Ollie Watkins and referee Paul Tierney points to the spot.

This is being reviewed. It looks like the West Ham defender's tackle was okay, although there was a foul outside the box by the looks of it.

Neither side managed to take a real hold of the game in the early stages but Spurs are now starting to gain momentum.

They have gone the closest, with Igor Jesus' header hitting his own bar, but Forest are still dangerous on the counter attack.

Brilliant chance again from Villa. That's the season Ollie Watkins has been having. It almost looked like a certain goal for Villa. Brilliant save from Hermansen

That challenge on Archie Gray. I guarantee you 100% if that was Romero it would have been a straight red. The difference in standards in the Prem is absolutely shocking.

Lovely football. Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins play a couple of one-twos and but Mads Hermansen comes to the rescure for the visitors, saving from the forward with his feet.

Well this is the Mathys Tel who has been linked with many clubs in and around Europe but I questioned why from Bayern Munich would he join Tottenham at the time. A team fighting relegation, even last year, they were at the bottom half of the table, when he is so highly regarded.

Why would Bayern Munich allow him to leave? And why was Tottenham the only suitor? I think it’s down to himself, and professional pride that his performance level has to increase, like it has recently.

Ollie Watkins has looked a bright spark so far.

No sign of being left out of Thomas Tuchel's latest England squad is bothering him.

  12. Postpublished at 14:39 GMT 22 March

Ollie Watkins plays a nice give and go with Lucas Digne and fizzes an effort over the bar after being invited to cut in towards the West Ham goal.

Villa Park is never an easy place to come to and when Aston Villa do take an early lead and come out the traps the way they have, it's difficult to settle yourself back into it, especially in the context of where West Ham find themselves in the league.

    Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest

Another very good opportunity for Nottingham Forest on the counter-attack. It was one long ball from Milenković, up to Jesus, and then out to Callum Hudson-Odoi who goes out to the other side.

Tottenham have had the lion's share of possession, but Nottingham Forest have shown their teeth in the counter-attack.

Aston Villa are going through the gears. Jadon Sancho drifts into the West Ham penalty area gets his head up and clips a cross in towards Amadou Onana and the Belgium midfielder just heads wide.

  16. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 14:37 GMT 22 March

What a fantastic goal from John McGinn and Aston Villa and every single member of staff that would have prepared that all week long on the training ground. Fantastic finish, fantastic set piece from Aston Villa.

Wow, that was SOME strike from Aston Villa captain John McGinn.

The Scot was on target in midweek against Lille in the Europa League and he's delivered again here.

Cue the chants of 'super John McGinn'...

Super wing play from Mathys Tel out there from that left-hand side. It's a really good first touch, long ball cross field, and over the head of the full-back. It's a great first touch, which sets him up for a run on Aina. Tel runs into the 18-yard-box where he knows that he can't touch him.

  20. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 14:33 GMT 22 March

Igor Jesus will be a relieved man as he sees his defensive header from a Tottenham throw in bounces off against the woodwork.
