Simon: Re George. Most predictable league if they win 4? Only this century try 8 Juventus titles in a row or 9 Celtic titles in a row. I don't think PSG or Bayern Munich would be losing their minds over 4 in a row either!!

Anon: Re George saying its predictable... the outcome is the same but the fact that the others haven't taken the opportunity presented when City gave floundered has made it very unpredictable.

Fantastic performance from City, really professional the way they went about things.

From the first goal, City didn't look back.

Manchester City are unbeaten in 30 games in all competitions (W24 D6), making them the third English top-flight side to reach that landmark after Nottingham Forest (40 in 1978) and Manchester United (twice - 34 in 1993-94 & 33 in 1998-99).

The last team to beat them (excluding penalty shootouts) were Aston Villa on 6 December. Villa moved above City with that win.

This is the game for them. Against a team that will try and play out from the back and will try and play with the ball.

With this combination you can go really far and it's so far, so good, after tonight.

Brighton fans were unhappy with the officials for two strong penalty appeals turned down - and the Phil Foden free-kick that shouldn't have been given.

But Manchester City blew them away anyway. A deserved three points.
