  2. Postpublished at 18:23 BST 24 May

It is largely scenes of celebration still going on at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but there's a stark reminder that there's work to be done as some fans unfurl a banner reading: "promised success, delivered failure. ENIC out".

Enic is a reference to the ownership at Tottenham.

  3. 'In the end, I am proud'published at 18:21 BST 24 May

    FT: Nottingham Forest 1-1 Bournemouth

    Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest manager Vitor Pereira, speaking to Sky Sports: "It is an honour, it is a privilege to be the manager. This is a group with strong character. Today was difficult, we faced a strong team and the weather is impossible. In the end one point is a pity because if we win we can get to another position in the table. In the end I think the result is fine.

"I used to say that the way we start the season is very important, we must work in the pre-season with a squad to prepare the first games. I believe that we have a lot of things to improve. We just need time together. We play a lot of games without preparing the games in the proper way, without time to work together. Next season we will have more time. I believe we can build something stronger."

On Elliott Anderson: "I don't have the answer. If you ask me if he deserves the best clubs in the world, he deserves. He has a lot of quality, he is a talent. But he is our player and I am very happy with him. The market is the market, I cannot predict the market. I know we want to keep the same players, to bring two or three players to help us balance the squad. In the end, we'll see."

On this season: "This season was very very tight in terms of the battle of relegation. Teams like Tottenham, West Ham, Leeds, Nottingham Forest, this season was very tough. To be safe three games before the end of the season, the last two games are very difficult in my experience. We did well, we competed, we went in a semi-final. It is not easy with the two competitions, struggling in one and trying to move forward in another. In the end, I am proud. We are proud of our work, of our supporters. I believe that next season we can go and do good things."

I know it must mean a lot to the fans, but Spurs running onto the pitch to celebrate their second 17th place finish on the bounce is embarrassing.

The Liverpool fans expected it to be an emotional day and the sight of Mohamed Salah fighting back tears in the centre circle will live long in the memory for the crowd here.

He seemed to want to take a moment to soak up a Anfield post-match atmosphere for one final time. Alisson, a team-mate who has shared so many special moments with Salah, came over to give him a hug.

Meanwhile Andy Robertson was waving goodbye to the Kop.

All the Sunderland fans stand up to sing “I can’t help falling in love with you” as their team faces them and the smoke from flares fills the air. Unbelievable that a side that was only in the Championship last season will be heading into European Football next season.

"I mentioned it many times, this has been the most challenging year in my career. It's tough to take, tough to go through that as a team but we are Liverpool and we come out of it stronger. That's the main focus now.

"The bare minimum that we should try and get out of this poor season. Onwards and upwards so we keep going.

On Salah and Robertson: "I'm definitely going to miss them. We, as a club, are going to miss them, their qualities and that's life.

No real tears at the London Stadium, just lots of long, hard stares into the distance.

Hammers fans knew it was coming today despite their hopes for a miracle.

They won to give themselves a chance but Spurs' victory meant that wasn't enough.

That's it then. West Ham's 14-year stay in the Premier League is over.

The Hammers are relegated with 39 points and will be playing Championship football next season.

Plenty of fans have already started making their way out of the London Stadium. There was grim resignation before the game today and their fears have been realised.

It feels somewhat cruel to have the West Ham players wandering around applauding the fans while Moving On Up by Primal Scream blasts out through the speakers.

They are still waiting on the final outcome at Tottenham but some fans near me are starting to leave, before the players head towards the tunnel.

There's an acceptance now here that it is over.
