    One of them is Fofana, who ends up practically rugby tackling Isidor and, despite pleading his innocence, receives a second yellow.

    The home crowd sense the need to encourage their side as they lift the volume a bit as the players head to touchline for a drinks break.

    Nuno Espírito Santo steps up to give his players one final team talk. It isn't quite now or never territory but West Ham need to find a spark from somewhere, and soon.

    That is a superb individual goal from Ollie Watkins. He was indeed played onside. He still had plenty of work to do, but showed supreme composure to side-step John Stones and finish.

    The former Reds midfielder, who was captain when Liverpool beat Tottenham in the 2019 Champions League final in Madrid and then captained the Reds to Premier League glory in 2019-20, applauds all four sides of Anfield before walking off.

    Tears galore at the Etihad from the sounds of it and, the way things are going, there will be a few at the final whistle at the London Stadium as well.

    Although, saying that, the apathy and acceptance from the West Ham fans for much of this game suggests a plenty of already numb to it.

    Goalscorer Joao Palhinha is on the receiving end of a pretty strong challenge from James Garner.

    Ah, the challenge wasn't too bad but it was Garner's foot in the follow through that caught Palhinha in a rather sensitive area.

    Palhinha takes a few moments to gather himself before getting up with a grimace on his face.

    There's no doubt that Tottenham will be delighted to be leading but it looks like there's some uncertainty about how they approach the game from here.

    They appear unsure whether to sit and protect or continue pressing for a second and it's allowing Everton to get on the ball a little more.

    West Ham have had a couple of near misses either side of half-time but, ultimately, they just haven't offered in this match.

    They have to win and the urgency and intent just hasn't been there for long spells in this game.

    A few nerves for Crystal Palace after Adam Wharton ends up in a heap on the ground after challenging for the ball with two Arsenal players.

    There is a hush around Selhurst Park, but a few moments later the midfielder is on his feet to relieved applause from the home fans.

    Wharton gets a bit of treatment and is soon back into the action.
