It's a fantastic passage of play from Manchester City. Birmingham just weren't up to speed on that right hand side and they get done with a simple give and go. Beney with the first time cross and it's a comfortable finish for Shaw.

Lotta Lindstrom tries to play a one two with Lee Geum-Min but she is flagged offside and she looks to get the ball back.

Birmingham City have made a lively start to this tie in front of their home fans.

It's excellent defending from Birmingham. Silcock got tight to Hemp as she drives into the box and Cooke is able to get her body across to make the clearance.

Manchester City are having plenty of the ball so far and Lauren Hemp swings in a dangerous cross which Shannon Cooke clears.

Oceane Hurtre scored a hat-trick in the last round as Birmingham City beat Chatham Town 8-0 so Hurtre is definitely one to watch.

She drives up the pitch and swings a cross into the box but it's an easy catch for Khiara Keating.

Hutre is a really dynamic, exciting young forward. She will definitely commit defenders, run at them and try to get herself in the box. She also has a wicked delivery with that left foot.

They are top of WSL 2, above Charlton Athletic on goal difference as their season builds towards a potentially thrilling end.

Manchester City are nine points clear of defending champions Chelsea and could seal a league and cup double to end the season on a high.

Manager Andree Jeglertz hopes his side can continue to push for success as the campaign reaches the closing stages.

“I think every time when you win and you have a great performance it’s building a confidence in the team," he said.

“We’re all aiming for the big final and all the teams that are still in the tournament are tough opponents and that means also that there are more things to achieve from a game."

While Man City are looking to claim their first WSL title in ten years, Jeglertz still want his side to be focused on the FA Cup.

“I think that we should be able to battle on many fronts,” he said.

“So just saying that the league is one thing and this is also something that we still have an opportunity to go all the way in.

"The cup is something that we really would like to have success in, and that means that the focus on this will be the same focus as in the league.

“But we also know that it’s one game that you need to win to qualify for the semi-final, and we will do everything we can to do that.”

Blues boss Amy Merricks makes six changes from the Birmingham City starting line-up that beat Bristol City 1-0 last time out.
