For all of the questions over Manchester City’s defence in recent weeks, it’s worth recognising the impact of Ruben Dias today. He’s made several very timely blocks.
Palace powered out of the blocks, but City did well to shake off that early setback. Erling Haaland’s headed finish was far tougher than he made it look, particularly given the blustery conditions.

I saw Manchester United's defeat by Arsenal as the easiest prediction of the week, and I was right.
That is not me taking aim at United boss Ruben Amorim, but with what he has to work with, getting anything against the very top teams is going to be really difficult. The magnitude of the job means that he will need months and months to really turn things around.
I don't see this game as being straightforward for United, either. Forest have already won at Anfield this season and they created chances against City on Wednesday, so I am expecting more of the same from them here.
I am going to be a bit of a coward with my prediction, though. I backed Forest to get something at the Etihad Stadium, and I was wrong, so I am not brave enough to back them again on their return to Manchester.
I'm disappointed in myself with this prediction to be honest, although I do think Forest will score this time.
Sutton's prediction: 2-1

That was a really good first half and both managers will be pleased. Mateta, Sarr and Eze have all been lively and so has Matheus Nunes.
An even first half in all honestly and both managers will take parts from it.

Villa took their clear chance while Southampton, despite getting into some encouraging positions, could not take advantage of their own openings.
It is a fairly forgettable game, the atmosphere is flat and the most consistent noise is the wind whistling between the North Stand and the Trinity Road Stand.

There's no doubting that Manchester City are a better side with Kevin de Bruyne in it. He has looked dangerous and we've seen glimpses of the link-up play with Erling Haaland at times.
Pep Guardiola must be terrified about his fitness, though, with his current injury list already extensive.

Manchester United have won six of their seven Premier League home games against Nottingham Forest, with the exception being a 2-1 loss in December 1994.
Following their 2-1 victory in December 2023, Nottingham Forest are looking to win consecutive league games against Manchester United for the first time since April 1992.
Manchester United have scored in all 14 of their Premier League games against Nottingham Forest, their joint-best 100% scoring record against an opponent in the competition along with Swansea City.
