Leeds were the big winners in the relegation battle at the weekend as they claimed a big home win against bottom side Wolves to move eight points away from the drop zone - the same number of points between them and Brighton in ninth.

For Daniel Farke's side, it might prove to be enough and they will hope they soon find themselves excluded from the relegation conversation.

Leeds will aim for a third consecutive win when they travel to Bournemouth on Wednesday then face three of their fellow bottom six dwellers in their last four games.

Burnley, whose relegation could be confirmed this week, visit Elland Road on 1 May, before Leeds take on Tottenham, Brighton and then West Ham on the final day.

Not to forget, they also have a trip to Wembley on Sunday to face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-finals.

Leeds appear to have, on paper, the most favourable remaining fixtures among the Premier League bottom six with a home match against Burnley next.

By contrast, at least four of Nottingham Forest's last five games will be against teams in the mix to qualify for Europe with away games at Chelsea and Manchester United looking particularly tricky.

It is a similar story for West Ham with the compact nature of the league - just seven points separate sixth and 14th - meaning pretty much every team still has something to play for.

The Hammers might actually be hoping Leeds are one of the few whose thoughts have turned to the beach if Nuno Espirito Santo's side are still in danger of going down come the final day.

Spurs may have no better chance of breaking their duck in 2026 than this weekend's game at Wolves, whose own relegation has now been confirmed.

Their home match against Leeds on 11 May is another they would view as an opportunity - but then every game falls into the must-win category for Roberto de Zerbi's side at the moment.

Meanwhile, Burnley must essentially win all six of their remaining fixtures - including games against Manchester City and Arsenal - to have any chance.

Wolves are now officially relegated back to the Championship and Burnley look all set to follow them.

But there is still work for four other sides - Tottenham, West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Leeds - to do in the coming weeks to ensure their Premier League status.

Spurs are in a spot of bother as they remain 18th - two points away from West Ham above them with five games to go.

Forest are currently six points clear of safety while Leeds have an eight-point cushion now after two wins in their last two matches.
