Leicester’s nightmare scenario today is one where they go out of the FA Cup and also drop into the Championship relegation zone.

Burnley have won their last three home FA Cup matches and have eight of their last 10 home games in the competition against sides from outside the top two divisions .

However, their last defeat in such circumstances was back in February 2017, to then, non-league Lincoln, who are based just across the A57 from their East Midlands rivals Mansfield.

There's no Jaidon Anthony for Burnley today with veteran forwrard Ashley Barnes starting for only the second time this term. Could The Stags spring a surprise?

Salford City are playing in the fourth round of the FA Cup for the first time in their history. The last time a side from the fourth division or lower eliminated a team in the top three of the top-flight was February 1971, with Colchester United beating league leaders Leeds United in the fifth round.

Safe to say Salford have a job on their hands today.

It's been a story of 'what if' for Burton. It's just not been enough.

The attendance for Salford City's 4-0 second round home win over Leyton Orient was 1,796. There's many more than that supporting the League Two team at Etihad Stadium today.

And they've been making themselves heard during the warm-ups.

It's not that long ago Salford were playing in the preliminary round of the FA Cup. Today, they're playing in the fourth round for the first time.

Not quite the last chance as Alphonse Areola pushes away Kain Adom's shot before Kgaogelo Chauke fires into the sidenetting from the loose ball.

Burton have certainly had the chances to equalise in extra time.

Oh so close to the equaliser!

Kyran Lofthouse receives the ball just outside the box, works a yard of space for himself and then sweeps a low shot that goes just wide of the far post.

That might have been Burton's final chance as we enter two minutes of stoppage time.

Summerville just pounced on the loose ball and from there he could have put the game out of sight. He just stretched on the last touch before the finish and that just meant he couldn't quite put it where he wanted to go. Collins got away with one there.

Oh it should be 2-0!

Crysencio Summerville intercepts a poor pass by goalkeeper Bradley Collins and is in on goal but slots his effort just the wrong side of the post.

There's no composure anywhere. For West Ham no one can get the ball away, and for Burton no one can get a decent effort on goal.

Salford City coach Alex Bruce (centre), son of three-time Manchester United FA Cup winner Steve Bruce, was part of the League One Oldham Athletic team that beat Manchester City 1-0 in the FA Cup third round at Boundary Park in 2005.

Kevin Keegan was the City boss and his team that day included David James, Danny Mills and Steve McManaman.

That result was a big shock at the time. Fair to say a Salford City win over Manchester City today will comfortably eclipse that result of 21 years ago.
