This was always a game where West Ham had to take the few chances they were going to get and they didn't do that. You think in particular of that Lucas Paqueta chance at 0-0. There has only been one horse in this race.

I was joking before but Mo Salah comes close to making it 4-0.
Trent Alexander-Arnold takes out the entire West Ham team with one pass and Salah streaks down the right from half-way.
Alphonse Areola makes some amends by standing tall to deny Salah at his near post this time.

Mo Salah has scored his 20th goal of the season, and it isn't even 2025.
West Ham give the ball away deep in midfield yet again, Curtis Jones feeds Salah and he beats Alphonse Areola at his near post from 20 yards.
Areola has made some great saves in this game, but he really should have stopped that one.

The Egyptian leaves a long ball for Luis Diaz, streaks into the box and when the cross comes in, absolutely rinses Mavropanos with a terrific heel flick.
After that piece of skill, Salah shows great awareness to feed the Dutchman rather than shoot himself as defenders close in. Cody Gakpo therefore has the freedom of east London to slot home.
