Who was it who said: "There are no easy games in football."

Unless my eyes deceive me, this has been one of easiest games Liverpool have had all season and has a real capacity to get even more messy for West Ham United.

West Ham have been pathetic. Defeatist. Passive. Sitting back waiting to be beaten.

And they are getting beaten very heavily.

Is there any hope for West Ham tonight? Well, Liverpool have been conceding goals at quite a clip lately.

Liverpool have conceded 10 goals in their last four Premier League away games, shipping at least twice in each fixture. Despite this, they collected eight points from those four matches.

If West Ham somehow score at least twice tonight, Liverpool will become the first team to both score and concede multiple goals in five consecutive top-flight away matches since West Bromwich Albion in 1966.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner speaking to Premier League Productions: "I'm very pleased. Everybody expected us against the bottom team at home, but these games are often the difficult ones.

"Today we were very strong from set-plays and scored the goals."

Should Palace's equaliser have been disallowed?: "All over Europe yes, but not in England. This is the Premier League. We were told about this at the start of the season and what I really like is that it's always the same line. If this goal would have been disallowed then many goals from many other teams would have been disallowed.

"Everybody uses the rules to the very edge. This is what we are doing, this is what Arsenal are doing, everybody is doing."

Southampton

Southampton goalscorer Tyler Dibling speaking to Premier League Productions: "We go 1-0 up but this season when we've gone 1-0 up we haven't pressed on.

"We concede from a set-piece which I think VAR should overturn. But we need to be more clinical.

"Last two games we've played some great football under the new manager. We're just not turning it into points. But there's still plenty of games left to turn it around.

"I haven't done it enough this season but it's obviously a good moment to score but we didn't come away with the points.

On Crystal Palace's first goal: "We said as soon as we saw it we thought it would be overturned."

On the change of manager: "It's a lot different but it's good for us. He's a lot stricter but we know what to do. High pressing and all that.

"We're just taking it game by game and seeing if we can pick up points. I'm optimistic still because anything can happen."

Everton

Everton boss Sean Dyche, speaking to BBC MOTD: "They have done that to other teams this season. We didn't deliver it anywhere near in the first half and they did.

"It is hard to break down a packed defence when they get their noses in front. I don't think they had too many chances.

"A packed defence is hard to break down. We didn't ask enough questions overall against a team that is good at seeing a game out."

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo speaking to BBC MOTD: "We are competing really well, especially today. It was a very tough game and both teams had a very short period of rest.

"We were organised and really committed to help each other. We then exploited well the space Everton gave.

"We had to make a change just before the game. It was a moment to reset, reorganise and try a different thing. The players understood it well.

"It is confidence, the belief and the knowledge that in the final third you need composure. They scored beautiful goals."

On being second: "It doesn't mean anything. We haven't achieved anything yet."

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou speaking to PLP: "A disappointing outcome. It's a game we should have put to bed a lot earlier. We had opportunities to get a third and at 2-1 they were not really creating much. Obviously they score and it's a disappointing outcome.

"We had opportunities to kill the game off but didn't do that. We paid the price. We have a tired group of players at the moment and we are lacking a bit of sharpness in the areas we need. They are trying hard."

On fan frustration: "I am not tuned into the fans, but I would not be surprised if they are frustrated and disappointed with the way things are going at the moment. That's up to me to fix."

The second goal for Man City came at a really crucial time because Leicester were coming back into the game. Jamie Vardy had a couple of opportunities, one really good opportunity where he chose to go with his right foot instead of his head, so it was not an easy afternoon for them.

We expect them to go to places like Leicester and win, and do so comfortably. It was far from easy or comfortable, but they got the job done.

Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola speaking to BBC Match of the Day:

"So many days without winning when we are used to it. It's a relief. The performance was not our best, Leicester were good. Happy for the result for the players, their commitment to be here.

"We can not sustain for 90 minutes, today we proved that again. Commitment and physicality. Clear our minds now by getting results. We are far away from winning the Premier League. We accept there's already no chance of that but we have other things to fight for. FA Cup, top four and winning games helps.

"They were better than us in the second half. We can not sustain the aggression and pressing. We just can't right now.

"This is just one game. The game against Manchester United hurt us a lot in terms of confidence. That game killed us. That game was mentally a struggle then tough games against Aston Villa and Everton. It is what it is, we have to hunt for wins and that's life. Most of the players proved again they are ready to fight."

On reaching 500 games as City boss: "Happy for all of us. It's a lot of games. Many memories for the players I've worked with from the first cup until now. The players have given me a good present today, celebrating 500 games like this."

Another 500? "Not going to happen."
