Tottenham fans needed that Xavi Simons chance because a nervous silence had just set in around the stadium.

Spurs could really do with getting that third goal because one back for Dortmund would certainly set up a tense finale.

A double change for Arsenal as Gabriel Jesus and Cristhian Mosquera make way for Viktor Gyokeres and Gabriel.

Cristian Romero comes close to getting his second of the game.

The Tottenham captain peels away to the back, undetected by the Dortmund defence, but is beyond the far post when he meets it and can't get the header on target.

Alessandro Bastoni isn't happy and he picks up the game's first card for reacting to Mikel Merino's challenge on Federico Dimarco.

Merino is also booked for his swipe at the Inter full-back.

First real signs of life from Spurs in the second half as Xavi Simons works half a yard for a shot but it's beaten away at the near post by Gregor Kobel.

Dortmund have certainly been much better since the break and the game has largely taken place in the Spurs half.

But in terms of actual chances, there's been nothing from the Bundesliga side.

The game is being played at a much slower pace than the frantic first half as Arsenal look to slow it down and sneak a third.

In comes Inter's corner. Arsenal can't clear and Francesco Pio Esposito gets another chance to shoot but he drills it over the top.

The 20-year-old is looking really lively since coming on.

Big cheers from the home fans as Xavi Simons slides in for a perfectly-timed tackle.

There hasn't been much for the Spurs supporters to cheer in a fairly low-key second half so far.

The ball is played for Marcus Thuram to hit. He does exactly that but it flies miles over after taking a nick.

How has that not crept in?!

Francesco Pio Esposito does so well to chest the ball, spin and get his shot off but it bounces an inch wide.

What a moment for 17-year-old Jun'ai Byfield. He signed his first professional contract a month ago and he is now playing against Borussia Dortmund.

This has been a bit of a flat second-half display by Spurs, with Thomas Frank having perhaps urged his players to conserve energy after a pretty high intensity first-half performance.

Spurs remain comfortable enough, however.

Another double change for Dortmund. Two former Premier League players are going to enter to fray.

On come Carney Chukwuemeka and Fabio Silva with Karim Adeyemi and Felix Nmecha making way.
