Tottenham fans needed that Xavi Simons chance because a nervous silence had just set in around the stadium.

Spurs could really do with getting that third goal because one back for Dortmund would certainly set up a tense finale.

    Inter Milan 1-2 Arsenal

A double change for Arsenal as Gabriel Jesus and Cristhian Mosquera make way for Viktor Gyokeres and Gabriel.

  3. Postpublished at 21:32 GMT 20 January

    Tottenham 2-0 Borussia Dortmund

Cristian Romero comes close to getting his second of the game.

The Tottenham captain peels away to the back, undetected by the Dortmund defence, but is beyond the far post when he meets it and can't get the header on target.

  4. YELLOW CARDSpublished at 21:31 GMT 20 January

    Inter Milan 1-2 Arsenal

Alessandro Bastoni isn't happy and he picks up the game's first card for reacting to Mikel Merino's challenge on Federico Dimarco.

Merino is also booked for his swipe at the Inter full-back.

  5. Postpublished at 21:31 GMT 20 January

    Tottenham 2-0 Borussia Dortmund

First real signs of life from Spurs in the second half as Xavi Simons works half a yard for a shot but it's beaten away at the near post by Gregor Kobel.

  6. Postpublished at 21:30 GMT 20 January

    Tottenham 2-0 Borussia Dortmund

Dortmund have certainly been much better since the break and the game has largely taken place in the Spurs half.

But in terms of actual chances, there's been nothing from the Bundesliga side.

  7. Postpublished at 21:30 GMT 20 January

    Inter Milan 1-2 Arsenal

The game is being played at a much slower pace than the frantic first half as Arsenal look to slow it down and sneak a third.

I don't like the way Tottenham are playing. It only feels a matter of time before Dortmund get one back.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:29 GMT 20 January

    Tottenham 2-0 Borussia Dortmund

    Dominic Solanke's night is done.

A goal on his first start of a season plagued by an ankle injury.

Randal Kolo Muani is on in his stead.

  10. Postpublished at 21:27 GMT 20 January

    Inter Milan 1-2 Arsenal

In comes Inter's corner. Arsenal can't clear and Francesco Pio Esposito gets another chance to shoot but he drills it over the top.

The 20-year-old is looking really lively since coming on.

Nice to see Thomas Frank giving a youngster a chance. This would have never happened under Postacoglou, he’d have used or more experienced player even if it meant using a goalkeeper.

    Tottenham 2-0 Borussia Dortmund

Big cheers from the home fans as Xavi Simons slides in for a perfectly-timed tackle.

There hasn't been much for the Spurs supporters to cheer in a fairly low-key second half so far.

  13. Postpublished at 21:27 GMT 20 January

    Inter Milan 1-2 Arsenal

The ball is played for Marcus Thuram to hit. He does exactly that but it flies miles over after taking a nick.

  14. CLOSE!published at 21:26 GMT 20 January

    Inter Milan 1-2 Arsenal

How has that not crept in?!

Francesco Pio Esposito does so well to chest the ball, spin and get his shot off but it bounces an inch wide.

  15. Big moment for Byfieldpublished at 21:25 GMT 20 January

    Tottenham 2-0 Borussia Dortmund

    Gary Rose
BBC Sport at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

What a moment for 17-year-old Jun'ai Byfield. He signed his first professional contract a month ago and he is now playing against Borussia Dortmund.

This has been a bit of a flat second-half display by Spurs, with Thomas Frank having perhaps urged his players to conserve energy after a pretty high intensity first-half performance.

    Spurs remain comfortable enough, however.

Watching Arsenal this season is a feast on the eyes, so confident, fit and willing to do the hard work. I can't see them slipping up anywhere right now and I'm a Liverpool fan.

It's a brilliant tackle - last ditch from Bastoni. But Saka should have got his shot away sooner.

  19. 'Super opportunity for Byfield'published at 21:22 GMT 20 January

    Tottenham 2-0 Borussia Dortmund

Super opportunity. What a lovely time for the youngster to make his debut.

Thomas Frank has put him in at right back and isn't going to expose the youngster.

It shows the lack of depth Tottenham have tonight.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 21:22 GMT 20 January

    Inter Milan 1-2 Arsenal

Here come the changes. Nicolo Barella and Lautaro Martinez are replaced by Francesco Pio Esposito and Davide Frattesi.
