Come on Spurs. Let’s play like a team, players and fans. No one, especially the players want yet another manager. So Spurs players, you hold your destiny in your hands. COYS.

An incredible atmosphere as the home supporters join in with the Champions League anthem.

Inter's break forward doesn't come off and Gabriel Jesus looks to slip it through for Eberechi Eze but there's not enough on the pass.

A really positive start from Arsenal here.

Since this stadium has opened I have never seen it so empty before kick off. It's really striking how many empty seats there are.

The Dortmund end is full but on a huge night for Thomas Frank and the Tottenham team, the Spurs faithful have decided to stay at home.

Frank called on the Spurs fans to get behind the team tonight. I'm sure they will but I think there will only be just over 50,000 here which will be a real concern for the owners of the club.

This match is the end of Arsenal's run of four games away from home in four difference competitions, if they are able to come out of this run of fixtures unbeaten that will be very impressive.

Boos greeted the final whistle here at the weekend as Tottenham lost at home to West Ham, but the players emerged for the warm up to gentle applause a little earlier.

It must be remembered that while Tottenham's overall home form has been poor for some time, it is impressive in Europe - having not lost in 23 such games, a run stretching back to February 2020.

They certainly face a tough test extending that run tonight although despite Thomas Frank lamenting only having 11 senior outfield players available, it is a decent team he has put out.

  10. 'Embarrassing night for City'published at 19:54 GMT 20 January

    FT: Bodo/Glimt 3-1 Man City

    Chris Sutton

I think you have to give all the credit to Bodo, and you could say Man City's bench has youngsters, but if you look at that starting team, Pep Guardiola went strong. Jeremy Doku didn't get a game.

It's not a good moment in the season but they have plenty of injuries. Antoine Semenyo and Marc Guehi have come in to strengthen things.

They've caused themselves a bit of a problem this evening not winning the game because they don't want to go into the play-offs, and now if they don't beat Galatasaray that may happen. That's not where they want to be, especially with the squad as depleted as it has been.

It's important they find a win and start building that confidence.

It's an embarrassing night for them.

You don't have to walk far around the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to see reminders of their recent success, with the front of the stadium proudly declaring "Europa League winners".

On the streets approaching the ground there are reminders of past Spurs legends and shirts with "winners" on the back.

But fans will feel they are anything but winners right now.

Normally, losing at home to Borussia Dortmund would not be a disastrous thing, but for Thomas Frank it could well be.

He is under immense pressure and if they lose and lose badly, the atmosphere could be very toxic here once more.

If Arsenal win in Milan tonight, they will set their longest ever winning streak in the European Cup/Champions League with seven. The Gunners have won each of their last six by an aggregate score of 17-1, keeping five clean sheets.

This is just Gabriel Jesus' third start since returning from injury.

The striker said in his press conference yesterday before the game that he is just focusing on staying healthy after a tough 11 months out with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

He has shown flashes of his quality since he has been back and there is no doubting the quality he has when he is flying and at full fitness.

Having listened to some of the fans on the way to the ground this evening and spoken to some outside it, there were barely any optimistic voices.

Two supporters I spoke to, both called Alfie, say the situation currently is "unacceptable" and feel if Tottenham do not win tonight then that could be it for Thomas Frank.

"At the moment it just doesn't cut it," Aflie on the right says.

"We're playing like we should be in the Championship. Thomas Frank is a great manager but he needs to sort his stuff out or he is gone. He has to win tonight or he is gone."

Alfie on the left adds: "We are a winning club and I think it is unacceptable the way we are playing at the moment and how we are managed."

    What a performance from Bodo.

We wondered whether they'd come into the game, with the break, whether they'd be under cooked. It was Manchester City who froze on the evening.

Bodo had a game plan. They were happy to give up possession, but when they broke they broke with pace and velocity. It should've been more than three.

People will look at this as a farmers league beating a Premier League team and they've thoroughly served it.

The Arsenal starting forwards are going through their warm-up on the edge of the area and taking shots at the substitute goalkeepers.

Leandro Trossard just curled an excellent shot into the top corner. The winger is playing some of the best football of his career at the moment.

Credit to Bodo, I could wax lyrical about how terrible we were. But I don't want to take anything away from them, objectively the better team. Not a single good point for us tonight, I don't recognise my club or what we're trying to do. There's no strategy, just aimless.

A terrible night for Manchester City. The players look absolutely dejected.

Fair play to Bodo/Glimt. They were brilliant and took their opportunities when they came. I imagine the celebrations will be going on into the night.
