It’s a cold, bright day in the capital and there is an expectancy around Easter Road with regards what the Hibernian fans are looking for.

Although they sit in third place in the Premiership it’s just one win at home in the league this season - a stat David Gray and his players will be looking to put right.

For Steven Pressley and his squad they simply must try to find the winning formula to try and push their way upwards in the table. Three points today would certainly help.

Having been caught up in the Arctic blast which has enveloped Aberdeen over the last few days, it was a welcome development to arrive in Dundee where there was not a snowflake in sight, and the where the sun was splitting the skies.

A short while ago the fog was threatening to role in off the Tay, but thankfully it looks to have gone on its merry way.

So the scene is set for what I think has the potential to be an excellent game.

  4. World Cup incentive is there - Graypublished at 15:01 GMT 22 November 2025

    Hibernian v Dundee (15:00)

Hibs head coach David Gray tells BBC Scotland: "There's a carrot for players to get on that plane for the World Cup. Steve Clarke has demonstrated that you'll get an opportunity if you're doing well for your club. A couple of players have already had a taste of that; Kieron Bowie and Josh Mulligan. Can you play at your peak every week and force your way into his plans? A lot can change between now and the end of the season.

    Dundee United v Falkirk (15:00)

Dundee United boss Jim Goodwin tells BBC Scotland: "The international break came at a good time for us, allowed those boys with injuries an extra week to get back to full fitness.

"Delighted to have Ross Graham, Max Watters and Craig Sibbald back in the squad.

"Pan Camara misses out, his wife is in labour and Pan wanted to be there for the birth. Dario Naamo picked up a niggle with Finland under-21s.

"The key word to describe [Craig Sibbald, who makes his 500th career appearance] is his professionalism in training on a daily basis.

"He sets really high standards and he's a silent assassin. He's been so important for me."

    Kilmarnock v Motherwell (15:00)

Kilmarnock manager Stuart Kettlewell tells BBC Scotland: "We've got guys unavailable, but I see it as presenting an opprortunity for someone else.

"There's no excuses or avoiding facts. My job is to get it right with the players available.

"We're looking for a formula that gets us back putting points on the board."

    Kilmarnock v Motherwell (15:00)

Motherwell manager Jens Berthel Askou tells BBC Scotland: "Eli [Just] has been away, so it makes sense after a long travel to start him on the bench.

"We've been rotating a bit from game to game.

"I expect Kilmarnock to be a very hard team to beat as they normally are here. It's a team that always gives their best. We have to be really sharp and see if we can get control of the game."

  8. 'Happy with where we are' - Martindalepublished at 14:57 GMT 22 November 2025

    Rangers v Livingston (15:00)

Livingston manager David Martindale tells BBC Scotland: "We looked at Rangers at the start of the week and felt they would probably be a 3-4-2-1, but a couple of changes so I don't know if it will be that three or not.

"Really then it was about ourselves and how we can get something from the game.

"We want to keep the ball, play, press, but we know we might have to do that from a mid or low block.

"The boys coming in [for Rangers] have got to impress, so there's motivation there. I don't see it as a backwards step for Rangers in all honesty.

"For us, it's about learning every week and adapting to life in the Premiership. I'm fairly happy with where we are other than the league position."

  9. 'Dundee have to be adaptable' - Pressleypublished at 14:51 GMT 22 November 2025

    Hibernian v Dundee (15:00)

Dundee head coach Steven Pressley tells BBC Scotland: "We don't have the best players in the league, we're aware of that.

"We have a good group and I think what the last three weeks has taught us is we have to be flexible in the way we play. We can't be like a top team that plays the same way every week. We have to be adaptable and try to find solutions.

"Even though I'm an experienced coach, I'm still learning on the job. It's been challenging positions I've had, but I'm enjoying it.

"Hopefully, we can find one of those performances today that we've seen glimpses of."

    Rangers v Livingston (15:00)

The main focus is on winning says Rangers head coach Danny Rohl, and that is what they've done in the Premiership under the German.

A win today would mean four league wins in a row, an unparalleled run this campaign.

Injuries have caused problems, particularly in defence. That provides some optimism for Livingston going forward.

However, it's just one win from them so far in the Premiership and they've never beaten Rangers at Ibrox. It seems a tall order on that basis.

Hibs have dropped far too many points. They're sitting third - not a bad place - but it could be a lot better.

  13. 'Rangers still on journey to improve' - Rohlpublished at 14:43 GMT 22 November 2025

    Rangers v Livingston (15:00)

Rangers head coach Danny Rohl tells BBC Scotland: "We are still on a journey to improve more and more.

"Today is the next opportunity. It's a game we have to win. I see a team with more and more self-confidence.

"When you have clean sheets, you are looking to have the same players consistently. Nasser [Djiga] showed he's made steps forward and for Manny [Fernandez] it's a good step.

"It's important to give players the feeling that you trust them. I want to see players who aren't scared of mistakes and see strengths, not weaknesses.

"My players are open-minded for new things. The basics are how we work against the ball, because we have so much quality on the ball.

"I saw yesterday in training a team that is very lively."

Meanwhile, Motherwell have made two switches to the team that started at Aberdeen.

Callum Hendry and Ibrahim Said replace Apostolos Stamatelopoulos and Elijah Just.

  16. Falkirk looking to keep up momentumpublished at 14:37 GMT 22 November 2025

    Dundee United v Falkirk (15:00)

Falkirk boss John McGlynn tells BBC Scotland: "We're satisfied so far with the points we've accumulated, but we've got to keep adding to it.

"It's a difficult day today, coming up to Tannadice. Jim [Goodwin] has done a great job here and had a great finish last year. We want to keep in the top half as long as we possibly can and to do that, we need to pick up points here.

"Scott [Bain] didn't play a hell of a lot in the past two or three years, but he's come here, showed his class and got into the Scotland squad. He'll be on cloud nine, but he needs to get his feet back on the ground today."

We might see some further evidence of history repeating itself at Tannadice this afternoon.

Last season Dundee United upset the odds over the course of the campaign, going on to finish fourth after promotion from the Championship.

The 'new boys' tag belongs to Falkirk this term, and so far the Bairns have shown enough to suggest they could emulate United.

John McGlynn’s side have seamlessly adapted to life back in the top division, where they currently sit fifth after 12 games.

Building on last season’s heroics was always going to be a challenge for seventh-placed United, who have had an up-and-down campaign so far.

But a solid 1-1 draw at league leaders Hearts last time out was proof Jim Goodwin’s team can still mix it with the best in the league.

  18. Captain Ferry back for United, Falkirk unchangedpublished at 14:33 GMT 22 November 2025

    Dundee Utd v Falkirk (15:00)

Dundee United make two changes for the visit of Falkirk, with the loss of Panutche Camara sure to be felt in midfield.

Craig Sibbald, who is still dreaming of a Scotland call-up, replaces him to make a 500th career appearance. At left-back, Will Ferry is back to captain the side with Dario Naamo dropping out completely.

Falkirk, meanwhile, are unchanged from the 1-1 draw with Livingston. Perhaps not a surprise, given they didn't have the same number of players away on international duty.

Birthday boy Scott Bain was one of those, though, and he returns to start in goals.

  20. New centre-back pairing for Rangers, Livi without World Cup-bound Brenetpublished at 14:27 GMT 22 November 2025

    Rangers v Livingston (15:00)

Rangers have a new-look centre-back partnership as Nasser Djiga and Emmanuel Fernandez start, with John Souttar and Derek Cornelius both out injured.

Oliver Antman starts on the right flank and Danilo is preferred to lead the line over Bojan Miovski.

Livingston are without Joshua Brenet following his World Cup qualification with Curacao.

Samson Lawal starts at right-back for the visitors and Scott Pittman and Macaulay Tait come into midfield, while Stevie May joins Tete Yengi up front.
