    Kilmarnock v Dundee (19:45)

Dundee boss Steven Pressley tells BBC Scotland: "It was our objective from the start to retain our Premiership status, thankfully we've manged to do that going into the last couple of games.

"We've proven time and time again we're an extremely motivated team. I've freshened things up with players who feel they should have had more game time.

"Tonight's a perfect opportunity for them."

  5. Arfield wants Livingston 'to have fun'published at 19:41 BST 12 May

    Dundee United v Livingston (19:45)

Livingston interim boss Scott Arfield tells BBC Scotland: "I've absolutely loved it. It's a completely different way of preparing for a game.

"I want the performances, in large parts, to be good. I don't need to win every game, the writing is on the wall for this football club.

"We want to win, but I want the boys to have fun and play with complete and utter freedom. We might lose goals being too adventurous but I'd rather watch a team that goes for it."

  6. Goodwin brands United performances 'unacceptable'published at 19:40 BST 12 May

    Dundee United v Livingston (19:45)

Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Scotland: "We had a terrific performance here against Dundee in the first game of the split but we haven't followed that up.

"The results have been really disappointing. The five goals we've conceded in the last two games are unacceptable. We've made some changes tonight and it's not just a case of giving guys a run out.

"We've made changes based on performances. We've told the players it's not acceptable to not finish the season off not positively."

  7. 'We need a positive reaction' - McLeishpublished at 19:39 BST 12 May

    Aberdeen v St Mirren (19:45)

St Mirren interim manager Craig McLeish tells BBC Sportsound: "[The 3-0 defeat to Kilmarnock] is probably the first disappointment I’ve had in terms of performance since I’ve taken charge of the group.

"It’s part of football and we have to pick ourselves up as a group.

"We were in Sunday and Monday and had a good couple of days and we’re ready to go again.

"We’ve tried to focus on ourselves and just do our bit. We didn’t want to get to a situation where it’s out of our hands but that’s the reality We just have to take care of ourselves and see what happens.

"Even the boys that played at the weekend, it’s the first time we’ve maybe not hit the performance levels we did previously. We lost Conor McMenamin to injury at the weekend and when you look at the bench there’s a lot of kids so we don’t have a lot to choose from at the moment.

"It’s about putting out a group of boys who are going to fight to the very end no matter what happens.

"Tonight’s about a positive reaction and us imposing our game on the pitch."

  8. 'I would love to see St Mirren stay up but focus is on Aberdeen' - Robinsonpublished at 19:38 BST 12 May

    Aberdeen v St Mirren (19:45)

Aberdeen boss Stephen Robinson tells BBC Sportsound: "It’s nice that the pressure’s off, since when I came in there was not a lot of confidence, not a lot of wins, and a little bit of freefall. It’s nice to have steadied the ship and now we can go and enjoy it.

"But I only enjoy winning football matches. We’re up against a highly motivated St Mirren side and we have to go and match that.

"I might make more changes on Saturday but we’re four unbeaten and with three wins in a row at Pittodrie it’s hard to go and change that. We’ve waited all season for consistency in the shape and personnel so I was caught in two minds but I want to win.

"You earn your right to play and I don’t think anybody has done enough to make me change that so we stick with what we’ve been doing.

"My focus has to be on Aberdeen. In the long run I would love to see St Mirren stay up but I can’t control that.

"I did what I did and when I left they were in tenth place, where arguably St Mirren should be, and with a semi-final and a cup win. After that, I’m not in control of it and I’m responsible for Aberdeen."

    Aberdeen v St Mirren (19:45)

Since the start of the 2021-22 season, St Mirren have only lost five of their 18 league meetings with Aberdeen.

Of course, a lot of that is down to the good work of Stephen Robinson, who swapped Paisley for Pittodrie in March.

St Mirren ensured Robinson made a losing return to his old stamping ground soon after his Dons appointment, but they have lost every game since.

    Kilmarnock v Dundee (19:45)

A 10th win of the league campaign on Saturday was enough to ensure Dundee are sticking around for another season in the top flight.

It's fair to say Steven Pressley wasn't a hugely popular choice as manager and the first few months of his reign were hard going.

However, strides have been made in the second half of the season, with last month's derby defeat at Tannadice the only significant black mark of 2026.

Since I've arrived at the stadium there has been sunshine, rain and a hailstorm. The conditions are changing by the minute, though things are relatively calm as we approach kick-off.

The Kilmarnock fans might not be so calm with the threat of the relegation play-off still not quite banished, but they know a win will guarantee their Premiership safety.

While they'll be nervous, there might be a bit of confidence they can get it done given their tremendous win away at St Mirren on Saturday and their terrific home form under Neil McCann.

  12. Keep an eye on Dunfermline v Partick Thistlepublished at 19:30 BST 12 May

The team finishing 11th in the Premiership will meet either Dunfermline Athletic or Partick Thistle over two legs in the play-off final.

Those two meet at East End Park this evening in the first leg of their semi-final and you can follow the action live on BBC Scotland.

  13. Goodbyes for some of Goodwin's squadpublished at 19:28 BST 12 May

    Dundee United v Livingston (19:45)

    Brian McLauchlin
    BBC Sport Scotland at Tannadice

For a few of these Dundee United players this is likely to be their final bow in front of their home fans, so they will be intent on going out with a bang.

A win for Jim Goodwin’s side would also come close to ensuring they finish 'best of the rest' in the bottom six.

Livingston interim boss Scott Arfield has a job on his hands to somehow galvanise a squad with little else to play for other than pride.

Few would predict an away win but as we know this is a season like no other.

  14. 'Buddies bang in bother'published at 19:26 BST 12 May

    Aberdeen v St Mirren (19:45)

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at Pittodrie

Having secured their Premiership status at the weekend, Aberdeen will take to the field with the pressure largely off for the first time in a while.

St Mirren on the other hand are bang in bother – current occupants of the dreaded 11th place.

They travel north in woeful form, and their hopes of getting out of their current predicament rely on the worrying combination of them being able to take care of business themselves as well as results elsewhere going their way over the remaining two games.

Even if they get a win, it won’t be enough if Kilmarnock beat Dundee at Ruby Park.

  15. Postpublished at 19:23 BST 12 May

    Dundee United v Livingston (19:45)

All those at Livingston must want this wretched season to hurry up and finish.

Scott Arfield has ended up in charge of the team after Marvin Bartley's departure.

The veteran midfielder did not sound particularly interested in being a manager when appointed on a temporary basis and might fancy it even less after Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Dundee.

His playing contract is up soon but the 37-year-old is in no rush to hang up the boots.

  16. Postpublished at 19:21 BST 12 May

    Dundee United v Livingston (19:45)

Dundee United have lost their last two games on the road but have been strong at Tannadice of late, unbeaten in their past six league games at home and winning four in a row.

United are three points clear of Aberdeen and will want to finish top of the bottom six, having gone into the split seven points better off than the Dons, who beat them at the weekend.

  17. Anderson in for Kilmarnock; Dundee much changedpublished at 19:19 BST 12 May

    Kilmarnock v Dundee (19:45)

The only change for Kilmarnock after an impressive win at St Mirren on Saturday is striker Bruce Anderson replacing winger Nicky Clescenco.

Steven Pressley makes wholesale changes to his Dundee side, who secured their survival with victory over Livingston at the weekend.

Key men Luke Graham, Ethan Hamilton, Yan Dhanda and captain Simon Murray drop out of the squad altogether.

Pressley appears to be giving a chance to some fringe players with their top-flight status sealed for next season.

  18. Three changes for Aberdeen, two for St Mirrenpublished at 19:17 BST 12 May

    Aberdeen v St Mirren (19:45)

Dimitar Mitov and Stuart Armstrong are both out for Aberdeen and will have surgery to be ready for next season, meaning Per Kristian Bratveit and Ante Palaversa come into the Aberdeen side. Stephen Robinson has made one other change, with Jack Milne dropping to the bench and Nicky Devlin coming into the starting line-up.

For St Mirren, Alex Gogic and returns from suspension

side that lost 3-0 at home to Kilmarnock. Alex Gogic returns from suspension and Richard King is in as Roland Idowu drops to the bench and Conor McMenamin is missing through injury.

Not exactly like-for-like changes, so it'll be interesting to see how St Mirren shape up.

  19. Russell makes first United start in 13 years; Livi change fourpublished at 19:15 BST 12 May

    Dundee United v Livingston (19:00)

Bert Esselink and Sam Cleall-Harding come into a back-three, with Esselink making a first start since January.

Emmanuel Agyei is suspended and replaced by Panutche Camara while Dario Naamo picked up an injury, allowing Zac Sapsford back in.

The big news for United though, is that Johnny Russell starts up top - his first start for the club since May 2013.

Livingston make four changes of their own, with Cristian Montano, Emmanuel Danso, Stevie May and Robbie Muirhead all given starts after the 3-0 thrashing from Dundee on Saturday.

    Kilmarnock v Dundee (19:45)

A win for Kilmarnock makes them safe, no matter what St Mirren do, and confidence will be high for the Ayrshire side.

Home form has really picked up under Neil McCann's stewardship, with five wins and a draw from their past seven league outings at Rugby Park.

Just a second away win of the season came at the weekend when Killie strolled to a timely 3-0 win at St Mirren.
