    Hartlepool United have signed defender Neo Eccleston from Huddersfield Town.

    Eccleston, 22, only played three times for Huddersfield after moving from Chelsea's academy but has had loan spells in League Two with Barrow and Grimsby Town.

    He has signed a one-year contract at Victoria Park, but the club has the option of another year.

    Harrogate Town have signed former Morecambe right-back Lewis Payne.

    The 22-year-old, who started his career with Southampton, scored four goals in 33 National League appearances for the Shrimps last season.

    "We've chased Lewis Payne the whole summer. He's a right-sider that we feel can add quality and expertise in a specialist position," boss Simon Weaver told the club website., external

    Town have not disclosed the length of deal he has signed.

    AFC Fylde have signed full-back Adam Lewis on a permanent basis after spending time with the club on loan last season.

    The 26-year-old came through Liverpool's academy and had loan spells at Amiens, Plymouth Argyle and Newport County.

    He went on to join Morecambe and later Chesterfield, before he spent time with Fylde last term, making 11 appearances as they won the National League North title.

    "He came in last year and helped the club get over the line. He bought into everything we are about in terms of standards and the DNA of the football club, and we're lucky to have someone of his quality signed up for the season," head coach Craig Mahon said.

  4. Spicer agrees terms to join Worthingpublished at 17:23 BST 2 July

    Worthing have agreed terms with coach Owen Spicer for the forthcoming National League season.

    Spicer, 22, currently coaches Worthing's under-16s side, can play in central defence or across the midfield.

    He trained with the Reds last season as well as being dual-registered with Isthmian League South Central Division side Littlehampton.

  5. Shaymen snap up midfielder Trustypublished at 20:52 BST 1 July

    FC Halifax Town have signed midfielder Tayt Trusty from Isthmian League Premier Division side Eastbourne Borough.

    Trusty, 22, began his career at Blackpool and moved to Eastbourne last year after a spell at Maidstone United.

    His career has also included stints on loan at Hartlepool, Hyde United and Radcliffe.

    During his time at Blackpool, Trusty was called up to the Cyprus Under-21 squad.

    Boreham Wood have signed Tottenham goalkeeper Luca Gunter on a season-long loan and Sunderland defender Oliver Bainbridge on a permanent deal along with midfielder Tarryn Allarakhia, who was recently released by Rochdale.

    Gunter, 21, has previous National League experience, having played 14 times for Wealdstone in the latter half of the 2024-25 season.

    He won the Under-17 and Under-18 Premier League Cup double with Tottenham in 2022-23, and the Premier League 2 title with the club's Under-21s the following season.

    Bainbridge is a 21-year-old left-back who failed to make a first-team appearance at Sunderland but helped South Shields to the National North play-off final during a loan spell last season.

    He also gained senior experience with Kilmarnock, where he spent the first half of the 2024/25 campaign on loan, making his debut against Celtic.

    The London-born Allarakhia, 28, is a Tanzania international. He made 72 league appearances during his two-year spell at Rochdale.

  7. Scunthorpe sign ex-Macclesfield striker Gale published at 17:09 BST 1 July

    Scunthorpe United have signed striker James Gale following his departure from National League North Macclesfield Town.

    The 24-year-old scored eight goals in 24 matches towards the end of 2025-2026 to help the Silkmen reach the play-offs.

    He spent the first six months of last season playing for Altrincham in the National League, scoring five goals in 24 appearances, including one in the FA Cup.

    Solihull Moors have made their third signing in the past week after agreeing a deal for the new season with teenage striker Ben Wodskou.

    The 19-year-old joins the Moors having spent last term with Yeovil on loan from Championship club Birmingham City before Blues sold him to Brackley in December, where he scored four times in 21 games.

    He heads to Damson Park for the 2026-27 campaign and will join midfielder Jamie Andrews and defenders Alex Whitmore and Junior Tiensia as the club's most recent recruits.

    Solihull also brought in defenders Matty Carson and Justin Hanks last month.

  9. Altrincham sign forward Dennis and keeper Evanspublished at 16:28 BST 1 July

    Altrincham have signed forward Kristian Dennis and goalkeeper Owen Evans.

    Dennis, 36, joins having left Tranmere Rovers, where he played for three seasons in League Two.

    Evans, 29, moves from League Two Barnet and has made more than 150 EFL appearances in his career.

    Dennis said: "I'm looking forward to starting pre-season training, getting to know the lads and the coaching staff and gearing up for the new season.

    "It's great to be here and I'm looking forward to playing in front of the fans. The season can't start soon enough."

    Their arrivals make it six summer signings for Alty boss Neil Gibson so far, and he says he has watched Evans over the past 10 years.

    Gibson said: "He's become an excellent senior goalkeeper after being a highly regarded youngster at Wigan Athletic and playing for Wales Under-21s.

    "He sets really high standards, has got a wealth of experience at National League level and was heavily involved in Barnet winning promotion to the EFL in 2024/25."

    Boston United have signed Connor McBride on a one-year deal after Rochdale released the attacking midfielder following their promotion to League Two.

    The 25-year-old, who was on the books at Celtic as a youth player and counts Blackburn Rovers among his former clubs, featured 61 times in the National League across two seasons with Rochdale.

    Woking have re-signed striker Josh Kelly on a two-year deal, following his release from League One club AFC Wimbledon.

    Kelly, 27, played for the Cards on loan from Wimbledon last season, scoring five goals in 24 appearances, until an injury against Eastleigh on 26 December curtailed his campaign.

    "I'm not sure we saw the best of him during his loan with us, his match sharpness took a while," Woking's director of football Jody Brown said.

    "He's proven at this level, he's been part of successful teams before, and we think he can get back to his very best during the next two years with us."

    Meanwhile long-serving defender Tunji Akinola has signed a new one-year contract extension.

    The 27-year-old has played 138 times and scored seven goals since joining the club from Partick Thistle in the summer of 2023.

    "He's robust, available, versatile, reliable, consistent and a decent human being," Brown said of Akinola.

    "He's already played lots of games here and been a big part of our growth over the last 18 months."

    Winger Will Randall has joined National League side Eastleigh on a permanent deal.

    The 29-year-old previously made over 100 appearances for Sutton United.

    He was most recently at Wealdstone, where he made 11 appearances in the second half of the 2024-25 National League season.

    "I'm looking forward to getting back out there and showing what I can do."

    Wealdstone have re-signed midfielder Jack Wells-Morrison for a third spell.

    The 22-year-old first played for the Stones during the 2024-25 season, while on loan from Crystal Palace.

    He then re-joined the club in March on a deal until the end of last season, playing in May's FA Trophy final against Southend United at Wembley.

    Wealdstone have not disclosed the length of his deal, describing it as a "longer permanent contract".

    Worthing have signed winger Dom Hutchinson from fellow National League side Wealdstone.

    The 24-year-old joins the newly promoted side on a free transfer after failing to agree fresh terms with the Stones.

    "Dom had a great season last year and has played lots of games at National League level," said Worthing manager Adam Hinshelwood, external.

    "He is an exciting player that can play or both flanks and at wing-back. This sort of versatility will be vital for us to be successful."

    The length of Hutchinson's contract is undisclosed.

    Hartlepool have signed striker Terry Bondo on a one-year deal.

    The 19-year-old was a free agent after being released by Blackpool at the end of the season.

    He made 11 appearances for the Seasiders and had loan spells in non-league with Matlock Town, Marine and King's Lynn Town.

    "I'm still at the beginning of my career and I know there's a lot more to come from me," he told the club's website., external

    Pools have the option of an additional 12 months on the deal.

    Scunthorpe United have re-signed midfielder Jacob Butterfield on a player-coach deal.

    The 36-year-old returns to the Iron after turning down a new contract with National League rivals Gateshead.

    Butterfield scored 12 goals in 89 games for Scunthorpe between 2022 and 2024 before leaving for the Heed.

    The Glanford Park side have not disclosed the length of deal the former Barnsley, Huddersfield Town and Derby County man has signed.

    Altrincham have re-signed midfielder Liam Humbles from Rochdale on a permanent deal.

    The 22-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan with Altrincham, making 19 National League appearances and scoring three goals.

    Humbles also spent time on loan at Moss Lane during the 2024-25 season when he was with Salford City.

    Altrincham have not disclosed the length of the contract.

    Solihull Moors have made their second signing in the space of 24 hours after agreeing a deal to bring their former defender Junior Tiensia back to the club.

    The 25-year-old left-back returns to the Moors on a free transfer following a one-season spell with Wealdstone that brought one goal in 32 appearances.

    Tiensia spent the second half of the 2022-23 campaign with Solihull, playing seven times before joining Barrow, where he spent two seasons in League Two.

    He joins fellow defender Alex Whitmore in returning to the Moors after the 30-year-old reversed his decision to leave the club for personal reasons at the end of last season.

    Tiensia is the fifth new recruit at Damson Park in preparing for the new campaign after the arrivals of defenders Whitmore, Matty Carson and Justin Hanks and midfielder Jamie Andrews.

    Harrogate Town midfielder George Thomson has signed a new one-year deal.

    The 34-year-old's new contract will see him complete a 10th season with the club.

    He has made 335 appearances for the Sulphurites and helped them win promotion from National League North up to League Two.

    Boston United have signed Jack Holmes after the versatile midfielder turned down the offer of a new deal with League Two side Rotherham United.

    The 24-year-old, who featured 56 times for the Millers across two seasons, has joined the Pilgrims on a one-year deal with the option of a further 12 months.

    AFC Fylde have signed winger Dylan Allen-Hadley from National League North side AFC Telford United.

    Allen-Hadley, 23, scored 10 league goals last season for Telford and now joins a Coasters squad preparing for their return to the National League.

    Head Coach Craig Mahon said: "We're delighted to have added Dylan into the group.

    "Dylan is someone we have watched all season, and we thought he showed real potential during his time with Telford.

    "Coming into a full-time environment, we feel he is only going to improve, and hopefully we can help him reach his full potential during his time at AFC Fylde."
