Jorgen Strand Larsen says he is "going to stay happy" after signing a new contract until 2030.

The 25-year-old striker's future was the subject of huge speculation over the summer with Newcastle seeing bids of £50m and £55m rejected.

His loan from Celta Vigo to Wolves was only made permanent at the start of the summer after he scored 14 Premier League goals last season.

"Everyone in football has goals and dreams in their life, to make bigger steps," Strand Larsen said on his new five-year deal.

"I've been incredibly happy here at Wolves, so it was tricky, but now I'm going to stay happy here. Signing a new deal shows that my commitment is going to be here for the next years.

"I'm happy here, I love all my friends and teammates, the fans are amazing, and we just want to make it a better season than last year.

"I've signed a new deal, more years at Wolves, which is perfect for me – the club's happy, I'm happy myself, so I'm ready to get back on the pitch now."

Strand Larsen follows Vitor Pereira in signing a new contract after the Wolves boss agreed a fresh three-year deal on Thursday.
