Barnsley have signed Curacao defender Tyrese Noslin from Dutch club Telstar for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old has agreed a three-year contract at Oakwell, with the League One club holding the option of a further year on top of that.

Noslin arrives after establishing himself in the Eredivisie with Telstar and representing Curacao at the 2026 World Cup.

"He's a player we've watched closely and one who fits exactly what we're looking for," head coach Daniel Stendel told the club website.

"Tyrese has had an excellent journey so far. He has worked his way through the Dutch game, gained valuable experience at a high level and shown that he can perform consistently in demanding environments.

"What stood out to us was not only his quality as a player, but also his mentality. He is ambitious, hungry to improve and eager to take the next step in his career.

Noslin said the club's approach convinced him to make the move.

"They gave me the feeling that they want me, and they made me feel special," he said.

"Now I want to prove to them that bringing me here wasn't a mistake."
