Have your say on England women this summer

Lea Tahuhu has taken 98 T20I wickets; she has just one over left in today’s allocation to join New Zealand’s ‘100 club’.

Only two players currently hold this accolade for New Zealand, and both are playing in this game.

That's Sophie Devine with 128 and Melie Kerr with 105.

Right then, pressure on England's two young all-rounders.

Dani Gibson and Freya Kemp are fresh at the crease, but will need to start motoring quickly to offer England a chance.

Just a single off the last three balls of Nensi Patel's over - she finishes with figures of 2-25.

A couple of brain fart moments from England.

That is another very soft dismissal from Maia Bouchier. She was thinking about making up for the run out of Heather Knight.

That is potentially a game-changing moment.

Holed out! England lose two wickets in two balls.

Maia Bouchier goes deep in her crease and looks to go big but can only pick out long-on.

There's little moments in T20 cricket and that's one that has gone New Zealand's way.

    Knight run out (Devine/Patel) 25 (Eng 119-3)

    She's gone!

Heather Knight's bat is on the line but not over it, and she walks off before the decision came in.

She'll not be overly impressed with Maia Bouchier's running there, I imagine.

A huge blow to England's prospects to boot.

Maia Bouchier jogs through that first one and never looked like she was coming back. I think Heather Knight's bat has bounced and she's been caught short of the line.

    Trouble here!

Heather Knight, having clipped to mid-wicket, sets off for a second run off Nensi Patel and Maia Boucher sends her back.

The former England captain has to hurl herself at the crease - I'm not entirely sure she's made it back.

England are ahead at the 15-over mark, but will they be able to match the acceleration of Sophie Devine and Maddy Green at the backend?

  11. Eng 116-2published at 15 overs

    55 needed from 30 balls

Heather Knight cracks Lea Tahuhu through fine leg, beating the fielder and picking up four.

The required run-rate now a neat 11 an over with three quarters of the innings done.

  12. Postpublished at 17:07 BST 23 May

Or, indeed, Sophie Devine's superb 87 from 57 balls, which featured five fours and six sixes.

England will hope they can crack on after hitting a couple of boundaries from that last over.

They can draw inspiration from Sophia Dunkley's start to the innings.

After the terrific start England had with the ball, post powerplay both seamers and spinners bowled too many over-pitched deliveries, conceding an economy rate of 12.96 runs per over off these 25 deliveries.

New Zealand have been far better in this regard so far, avoiding ‘the slot’ length and generally bowling more deliveries pitching on a good length.

A boundary to start the over and a boundary to finish it. Just what England needed against Amelia Kerr.

  16. Eng 107-2published at 14 overs

100 up with four off the bat!

Heather Knight drives Melie Kerr's first ball through point for her first boundary.

Maia Bouchier gets in on the action from the final delivery of the over, crashing the ball through mid-wicket.

What a strange delivery from Sophie Devine!

  19. Eng 98-2published at 13 overs

    73 needed from 42 balls

There's a four, albeit not off the bat!

After 30 deliveries without a boundary, Sophie Devine sends down a strange loopy delivery.

Heather Knight makes a bit of a move towards it, enough to distract wicketkeeper Izzy Gaze, and the balls breaks past everyone and runs away to the ropes.

  20. Eng 89-2published at 12 overs

    82 needed from 48 balls

The wait for a boundary continues.

Heather Knight and Maia Bouchier both takes twos off Nensi Patel, but are unable to breach the ropes.

Required run-rate now up above 10.
