So well deserved from the England captain. She has timed the ball better than anyone I have seen play at the Oval. That is a statement return from her. South Africa knows what to come. There are some big-hitting all-rounders coming up.

For Heather Knight and Nat Sciver-Brunt, they have potentially put on a partnership which could see England in a final against Australia at Lord's on Sunday.

A sublime innings comes to an end. Nat Sciver-Brunt hoicks it into the leg side and finds the fielder.

With 75 off 47, that may well be a match-winning innings from the returning captain.

This could be a semi-final winning innings from the England captain.

Nat Sciver-Brunt misses out on a full toss. But she can be forgiven.

  6. Eng 153-3published at 17.4 overs

She can't stop scoring. Nat Sciver Brunt makes some room and drags the ball to the leg-side boundary.

Remember, England were 23-3 after 3.2 overs.

England have got a fair amount of runs already, given South Africa's form.

If Nat Sciver-Brunt is at 70-80% fitness, you would want to play her because she can make this impact.

De Klerk's lengths have been all over the place today, as this graphic demonstrates.

This won't do Nadine de Klerk's frown any good. Nat Sciver-Brunt hits a huge six over midwicket.

Pierced the fielders. Four more to Nat Sciver-Brunt pierces the fielders for four. Bowler Nadine de Klerk looks deflated.

This was an incredibly expensive over. This is not the Ayabonga Khaka we're used to.

England have now had four fourth wicket partnerships of 100+ in T20Is and Heather Knight is the common denominator in all of them.

    • Knight & Wyatt-Hodge, 139 v Australia
    • Knight & Capsey 137 v India
    • Knight & Wilson 115 v Australia
    • Knight & N. Sciver-Brunt 110* v South Africa today

It has been difficult for Ayabonga Khaka since Shabnim Ismail's come back. Khaka was used to sharing the new ball. She doesn't do that at all, and now she has to bowl at the death.

There's no stopping that. Heather Knight brings up her half-century in style with a six to the leg-side boundary. Fantastic.

Both Shabnim Ismail and Marizanne Kapp have completed their allocated overs.

Ayabonga Khaka - who has been expensive so far - is brought on. Some good fielding on the mid-wicket boundary prevents the four.

Heather Knight swats it back past the bowler for four. She put everything into that.

The England batter swipes across the line and it falls short of Nadine de Klerk who runs in from deep mid-wicket.

I think Chloe Tryon was calling for it as she looked irritated that Sune Luus blindsided her.

This World Cup has seen more fours per match than any previous edition of the tournament.

There have been an average of 30 boundary fours per match so far, beating the previous record of 27 per match at the 2023 T20 World Cup in South Africa.

Heather Knight chips it back past the bowler. It's high. Sune Luus and Chloe Tryon both sprint towards it but it falls between the two fielders.

Knight runs one. Nat Sciver-Brunt lofts it into the leg side for another single.
