  1. dropped catch

    Dropped catchpublished at 11.1 overs

    Ire 72-5

A tough one for Marcus Stoinis to get at full-stretch but that will go down as a missed catch and Lorcan Tucker can breathe again.

    Excellent bowling.

This is a bit of reminder game to the rest of the world from Australia - hey we are here guys. They are maybe a bit of out of sight, out of mind, aspect to playing in Sri Lanka as well. Particularly with some of their big stars missing.

  4. Ire 66-5published at 10 overs

Lorcan Tucker steps aside before clipping Cooper Connolly through the covers for a boundary.

This has a feeling of inevitability about it but the Irish will be determined to bat out the 20 overs.

George Dockrell can swing for the hills now. He has nothing to lose. 117 off 10 is not impossible but they are effectively down to six given Paul Stirling will not bat.

  6. Three is the magic number for Ellispublished at 12:19 GMT 11 February

Nathan Ellis rips the Ireland batting attack apart with three quick wickets.

  7. Ire 58-5published at 9 overs

George Dockrell rips one away for four and then pulls for another boundary off Adam Zappa.

It's easy to overreact. These collapses can happen in T20 cricket but it doesn't make it easy to watch. Ireland used to take a scalp or two in a major tournament but that's something which won't happen here.

It's been the polar opposites in their opening two games. On Sunday they threw away a winning position against Sri Lanka while today they have not been remotely competitive.

Ireland just look like what they are. A team who hasn't played much international cricket recently while Australia look like they are team who have played a lot, on the back of the Big Bash as well.

  10. Ire 47-5published at 8 overs

Cooper Connolly beats the Lorcan Tucker's bat with delightful spin and turn but just fails to find the edge.

Edged and a sharp catch behind the stumps by Josh Inglis. Ireland are subsiding and the game is basically up.

Gareth Delany has been swinging and swinging and not really connecting. It's been all or nothing. He was trying too hard.

  13. Ire 43-5published at 7 overs

Australia in total control in Colombo.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 6.5 overs

    Delany c Inglis b Zampa 11 (Ire 43-5)

Gareth Delany takes a mighty swing, the ball comes off the bottom edge and it's a good take from wicketkeeper Josh Inglis.

    A poor shot is punished.

  15. Not outpublished at 12:06 GMT 11 February

    Ire 42-4

DRS shows it pitched outside the line and Lorcan Tucker survives.

  16. Australia reviewpublished at 12:05 GMT 11 February

Adam Zampa thinks he has Lorcan Tucker lbw - it's given not out and Travis Head goes for a review.

  17. 6 runs

    Ire 40-4published at 6 overs

Gareth Delany lofts one down the ground for a much-needed Irish boundary and follows it up with a repeat stroke but this time gets more on it for a magnificent six.

Paul Stirling is in his training kit, so I don't think he's going back out to bat again after retiring hurt earlier.

Australia have had the perfect start. Nathan Ellis has show his full range of cutters and slower balls.
