Summary

Have your say on England men this summer

  1. Ind 52-2published at 5 overs

Oh dear, oh dear. Make that three boundaries in a row as Abhishek Sharma powers it down to long-off.

India reach their 50 inside five overs after all that good work from England early on.

  2. Ind 44-2published at 4.3 overs

Runs for fun here. Abhishek Sharma makes some room to club Luke Wood over the off side for back-to-back boundaries.

  3. Ind 36-2published at 4 overs

Glorious! Shreyas Iyer cuts through point for four more. Huge over for India - 21 from it.

Abhishek Sharma becomes the fastest batter to hit 100 T20 international sixes. His 785 deliveries to this milestone eclipses the record formally held by West Indies' Evin Lewis, who brought up his century of sixes in 789 balls.

  5. Ind 31-2published at 3.4 overs

Saqib Mahmood alters his line but Abhishek Sharma still manages to connect. It's not hit as cleanly as he'd like but well enough to clear the midwicket boundary.

Abhishek will have been disappointed he didn't hit the first one for six. He doesn't miss out second time round.

I thought he hadn't got [the third one], but that bat swing takes it over the ropes.

  7. Ind 25-2published at 3.3 overs

Abhishek Sharma has his eye in. It's a short delivery from Saqib Mahmood, down the leg side, and Sharma pulls it down to the fine-leg boundary.

And again - but this time Sharma middles it over the boundary rope for six. A fine catch from the England fan in white.

    Poor bowling from Mahmood.

In the last 12 months England have taken 84% of their catches. This catch success rate is the highest of all full-member nations in this period.

  9. Ind 15-2published at 3 overs

Time for spin as Liam Dawson is introduced. He's greeted by a six by Abhishek Sharma - the opener lofting it over the covers. That will give India some much-needed confidence.

A really bad mix-up for the India pair.

The uncertainty from Ireland has come into this game.

    Great work from Brook.

    Kishan run out (Brook/Buttler) 0 (Ind 6-2)

India are in early trouble! Ishan Kishan wants a quick single to midwicket but Abhishek Sharma isn't paying attention. Kishan is half way down the track and turns back but it's too late. England skipper Harry Brook picks it up cleanly and Jos Buttler whips off the bails.

Not even the dive can save Kishan.

Not only what a grab, but it's really good captaincy from Harry Brook.

A change of field, Samson tries to open the face of the bat, but Tom Banton dives to his right and takes a superb catch.

    England have been really sharp.

Terrific catch from Tom Banton! Just moments after his excellent fielding, he goes one better.

Sanju Samson cuts it towards backward point and Banton takes a diving grab. Sharp fielding and great start for England.

  19. Ind 5-0published at 1 over

A huge cheer from a strong contingency of India fans as Sanju Samson gets off the mark with a single to mid-off.

There are even louder cheers as Abhishek Sharma plays a lofty drive for four.

Decent over from Luke Wood, though.

A good length from Luke Wood and Sanju Samson pushes down the ground. We begin with a dot.
