    Your job as an opening pair is trying to create calmness and that's the key especially in high pressure situations and that shot by Yashasvi Jaiswal has created chaos.

    Chris Woakes' delivery nips past the off stump of KL Rahul - that can only have been a couple of millimetres away.

    The India opener then inside edges onto his pads, then has to swiftly dip his bat back into his crease as the stumps are successfully thrown down.

    That's a really poor stroke, it wasn't a great delivery. It was short and wide and Yashasvi Jaiswal tried to pull it, it would have been better to cut it.

    Yashasvi Jaiswal plays across the line to a bouncer that gets a little big on him and sends a top-edge spiralling into the sunny London skies.

    Jamie Smith is right underneath it, he has plenty of time to settle and take the catch.

    He's bowling from the Nursery End, where Jasprit Bumrah got all his variable bounce earlier today - although he took his wickets from the Pavilion End.

    KL Rahul clips Archer's second ball through an empty fine leg to get India off the mark.

    England needed to bat for at least another hour. As it is now India have plenty of time to knock these off. England need to produce their best spell of bowling so far in 2025 to have any chance of winning this. Rash shots have cost England the 100 runs they needed to win this game.
