Right, we were expecting this news conference to get going at 15:30 GMT but it looks like we're finally about to start 45 minutes later.

Journalist and broadcaster Adam Smith is hosting and currently doing his introductions.

  2. 'Not going the distance'published at 16:12 GMT 25 February

    Wardley v Dubois

Queensberry chief Frank Warren might be torn on where to place his support with WBO heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley and Daniel Dubois both in his stable.

Warren, at least, knows he will still have a heavyweight champion on his books whatever happens on 9 May.

"One is a world champion and one is a former world champion. They are both massive punchers," Warren told BBC Sport.

"I can't think of a heavyweight world title fight where the knockout ratio was like this - it's unbelievable.

"This is not going the distance and it will be exciting.

"For Daniel to come off that loss to Usyk and go straight into this and for Fabio to go in against a big puncher, says a lot about the two of them."

Fabio Wardley will walk into the ring at Manchester's Co-op Live Arena on 9 May as the WBO heavyweight champion, however, he still feels that he needs to "earn the right" to carry that tag.

Finding out he had been upgraded from interim to full champion via a phone call was far from ideal, but he intends to show the world he is deserving of the status.

"It's always nicer to do it properly, do it in the ring, have the belt handed to you, shake hands with your opponent after and say 'look, good fight, thank you' and everything else," Wardley told BBC Sport.

"There's a level of earning it I will still have to do."

Daniel Dubois is the first one to take his seat. No Fabio Wardley yet but that's not because he's trying to be fashionably later - he is still finishing off some obligatory media duties in the basement of the church.

It feels like there are several heavyweights hoping for world title shots this year; WBC 'interim' champion Agit Kabayel, WBA 'regular' champion Murat Gassiev, Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua and possibly even Moses Itauma.

We are also still waiting on news for the return of IBF, WBA 'super' and WBC champion Oleksandr Usyk.

The winner of April's bout between Derek Chisora and Deontay Wilder could even enter the conversation.

So, who would you like to see the winner of Fabio Wardley v Daniel Dubois defend the WBO title against?

We’re at Dutch Hall today - a 16th-century converted church tucked away in the heart of London. It’s not quite your typical news conference setting.

Don’t expect a long sermon from Daniel Dubois, mind you. He’s never been one for speeches.
