    Wardley v Dubois

Michael Ofo presents Don Charles with a list of who Fabio Wardley has beaten - Joseph Parker, Justis Huni, Frazer Clarke - he says.

"Talk is cheap," says Charles before slamming down his microphone.

    Wardley v Dubois

Now we hear from Daniel Dubois' trainer Don Charles:

"Talk is cheap. I don't have lot to say. I'll talk today about what happens on 9 May and that's it.

"Daniel doesn't have anything to prove. He's only lost to one man - Usyk."

    Michael Ofo says "Joe Joyce?".

Dubois has of course lost three times in his career - twice to Usyk and once to Joyce.

Charles says: "That was too early in his career. Who has Fabio faced?"

Sam Jones is getting behind his fighter:

"Yeah, he went and trained somewhere else but he came back to Don Charles. You will see he is going to become a two-time heavyweight champion of the world."

    Michael Ofo responds:

"You leave because something is missing."

    Wardley v Dubois

Michael Ofo is digging away at team Dubois:

"It's going to be hard for Daniel to overcome all the things going on in his camp.

"The only person over there should be Stan (Dubois' father) because we know he makes all the decisions."

    Sam Jones interjects:

"In reality it's going to come down to who is the better fighter.

"Are we in agreement that Fabio has never been hit by someone with Dubois' power. Justis Huni, Joseph Parker are not in the same stratosphere.

"It's heavyweight boxing and look at Daniel's CV."

  6. Dubois’ brief split with Charlespublished at 16:35 GMT 25 February

Daniel Dubois’ career hasn’t exactly followed a straight line. He’s worked with Martin Bowers, Mark Tibbs, Shane McGuigan and now Don Charles.

After the second Oleksandr Usyk defeat he split with Charles, teamed up with Tony Sims, then changed course again and returned to Charles.

It’s been a bit of a whirlwind behind the scenes. And that’s before you even mention the post-Usyk headlines, when a video surfaced of a reported party at Dubois’ house just hours before the fight.

  7. 'We can capitalise on insecurities'published at 16:35 GMT 25 February

    Wardley v Dubois

    More from Michael Ofo:

"I think they need to worry about what is going on in their team. Daniel left his trainer Don Charles and came back so those insecurities are still there. We can capitalise on that.

    "Fabio will destroy Daniel early."

  8. 'Once you quit it becomes easier'published at 16:33 GMT 25 February

Over to Fabio Wardley's manager Michael Ofo:

"Fabio asked for this fight, he wanted the best out there and (Oleksandr) Usyk, Anthony Joshua and (Tyson) Fury weren't available.

"This will be a mental battle in there. Fabio will be right in his face and giving him hell.

"I believe once you quit once it becomes easier and he's done that on a number of occasions."

  9. 'Two boxers in the prime of their careers'published at 16:31 GMT 25 February

    Wardley v Dubois

    Daniel Dubois' manager Sam Jones:

"Sometimes when you get elevated to a champion it gets diluated and it shouldn't. Fabio deserves his props. Congratulations Fabio, it's an amazing achievement.

"Sometimes we get mixed up about what is a pay-per-view fight, this is a fight between two boxers in the prime of their careers.

"Someone is going to sleep in this fight. They both know this fight is ending inside the distance."

  10. 'Dubois focused and dedicated'published at 16:29 GMT 25 February

    Wardley v Dubois

Daniel Dubois' commercial manager Riz Khan:

"After the dust settled, after the (Oleksandr) Usyk fight, I had a conversation with Frank Warren about who we wanted next. We knew straight away we wanted to go for a world title shot.

"We said we wanted Fabio Wardley for the world title and Frank made it happen.

"I've seen a focused and dedicated fighter in Daniel. He is ready to fight for the world title again and I'm sure he will succeed. I'm not nervous."

  11. Pure heavyweight powerpublished at 16:27 GMT 25 February

    Wardley v Dubois

A graphic comparing the knockout rate between Fabio Wardley and Daniel Dubois. 'Wardley, 20 wins, 5% points, 95% knockout', 'Dubois, 22 wins, 5% points, 95% knockout'

Fabio Wardley and Daniel Dubois rarely hear the final bell.

WBO heavyweight champion Wardley has gone the distance just twice in his 20 fights. Of his 20 wins, 19 have come by knockout and the other was by decision. He also fought to a draw against Frazer Clarke.

Dubois has 22 wins from 25 fights. He has 21 victories by knockout and one by decision. The Londoner has also lost three times via knockout.

Something tells me their meeting won't go the distance.

    Wardley v Dubois

    Challenger Daniel Dubois:

"I need challenges where I am in my career. I need big names and big fights. I'll be up for this more than I have been before.

"The experiences in the past have prepared me for this moment.

"My experience, skillset and pedigree, you will see on the night.

"I want to showcase my skills - the things you haven't seen before."

  14. 'Not one to take the easy route'published at 16:24 GMT 25 February

    Wardley v Dubois

More from Wardley on Daniel Dubois:

"I rate him very highly and that's why I picked him. It's a voluntary defence but I chose him. I looked at the list and knew I'd get the most credit for facing him.

"I'm not one to take the easy route. I want to be remembered as a fighter who never ducked anyone. That's the best and right way to go about being a world champion."

  15. 'Immensely proud'published at 16:22 GMT 25 February

    Wardley v Dubois

Now to WBO heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley:

"It feels fantastic [to be champion]. It's a fantastic thing to achieve when you look at where I've come from and my journey.

"I'm immensely proud of myself for pulling it out but also to my team. I've kept the key people by my side and we've got all the way here."

  16. High risk for heavy-handed Britspublished at 16:21 GMT 25 February

    Kal Sajad
BBC Sport at Dutch Hall, London

This is a proper barnstormer of a heavyweight fight. Fair play to Fabio Wardley for rolling the dice in his first defence - this is no soft touch.

Daniel Dubois, meanwhile, could easily have taken a gentle route back after losing to Oleksandr Usyk, but instead he’s dived straight back into the deep end.

Two big Brits. Two serious punchers.

    Wardley v Dubois

    More from Queensberry's Frank Warren:

"On paper it doesn't get any better. They both have a 95% knockout ratio. You don't need to say anything else.

"You don't have to be Einstein to work out how this fight is going to go."

  19. 'Easy fight to make'published at 16:16 GMT 25 February

    Wardley v Dubois

Queensberry promoter Frank Warren is invited to speak first:

"This is a fight that both fighters wanted.

"Fabio is coming off a real good run, winning the world title in style, and said he wanted a real big fight.

"Daniel is coming off a loss and said he wanted to go right back in the deep end, so we made it happen.

"It was easy to make this fight because they are fighting men."

  20. Will this be Wardley’s crowning moment?published at 16:15 GMT 25 February

    Kal Sajad
BBC Sport at Dutch Hall, London

It’s easy to forget Fabio Wardley is yet to make a world-title defence. Beating an established name like Joseph Parker felt world-title worthy, but fans are never totally convinced when a belt changes hands because someone else vacates.

Wardley has said himself he needs that one big win to truly feel - and be seen - as a champion. It’s similar to when Daniel Dubois was upgraded to IBF champion; the belt mattered, of course, but beating Anthony Joshua was the moment that really cemented it.
