Who’s your greatest opponent and who was your toughest opponent? Were they the same person and if so, why not?

"Greatest opponent is Leo Santa Cruz but the toughest opponent for me was Josh Warrington. You'll know why if you see that fight."

Daniel has come out of his skin a bit lately. The funniest thing for me was when he did the head-to-head with Filip Hrgovic a few fights ago.

Hrgovic said Daniel had no heart, and Daniel just said he was going to knock him out - using an expletive I wouldn't like to repeat.

I had never heard Daniel even swear before!

Everybody there was like: 'What is that?' It was like getting the vicar to swear. He found a voice from within himself.

  6. 'I've gone through it all'published at 22:36 BST 9 May

    Rafferty beats Essuman by stoppage

Jack Rafferty talking to DAZN after stopping Ekow Essuman: "Absolutely brilliant. It's not just me here, I've got a massive team here, and we're reaping the rewards of all the hard work. Better than ever, stronger than ever, fitter than ever. If I have camps back to back, it's going to be special."

"I've gone through it all. Broke my hand and had surgery, my mum died, getting back to normal, broke my foot, back to normal, eye surgery, back to normal, 24 hours to live, I came back and now I'm here."

"I never gave up because that's what my mum told me, do not quit. You rest when you're dead and that's what I'll do. I'm going to get back in the gym and keep being the best Jack Rafferty every day. I'll be in the gym, waiting for the phone call."

  7. Fury v AJ - who wins?published at 22:34 BST 9 May

    Frampton Q&A

    Carl Frampton

Tyson Fury v Anthony Joshua – who wins and why?

"If you'd asked me five years ago I would've put my house on Fury. I think it's evened up now, I really don't know. Until the fight gets confirmed, we have a date and we see what AJ is like in this comeback fight, I'm going to bite my tongue and not make a prediction."

  11. Fury interim fight a risky movepublished at 22:30 BST 9 May

    Frampton Q&A

    Carl Frampton
Retired world champion and DAZN analyst

AJ v Fury – what’s your opinion on Joshua taking a warm-up fight and Fury taking a keep-busy fight? What are the chances we see this fight slip away?

"I hate the term warm-up fight but I think it’s only fair that AJ has a fight because of what happened to him in Nigeria. We need to see where he’s at mentally and physically. It's a fair thing to do.

"Fury having another fight, he doesn’t need one. Anything could happen, he could hurt his hand, get a bad cut and that could delay the fight. Anything could happen but he’s a fighting man and loves a fight."

  13. A fighter, not a talkerpublished at 22:29 BST 9 May

    Wardley v Dubois

    Kal Sajad
BBC Sport at The Co-op Live Arena, Manchester

Daniel Dubois has been a man of few words this week, walking out of two interviews after feeling a lack of respect from the media. He clearly feels the same about Fabio Wardley. When Wardley was asked what his opponent would be if he wasn't a boxer, his answer was "bin man".

Dubois was twitchy at the weigh-in and stuck to one-word answers, but we shouldn't read too much into the silence. This is how he's always been. Triple D is a fighter, not a content creator.

  14. Will Wardley's nose go?published at 22:28 BST 9 May

    Remember this?

It's about as bad a cut you'll see in a boxing ring and it came in Fabio Wardley's draw with Frazer Clarke in March 2024.

With bad cuts, you always wonder whether it'll go again but Wardley's nose has held up ever since.

  15. Wardley considered quitting before pro debutpublished at 22:27 BST 9 May

In the seconds before the first bell rings tonight, Fabio Wardley - for the first time - will hear the ring announcer introduce him as the WBO heavyweight champion of the world.

But his life could have panned out very differently after his professional debut fell through on multiple occasions.

"There was one time where I distinctly considered stopping before I'd even had a pro fight when I had a different manager," Wardley told BBC Sport.

"My pro debut actually was cancelled, built up, trained for and cancelled six or seven times in a row.

"I had a conversation with myself saying this is not meant to be and my trainer Rob Hodgins sat me down and said the same.

"It's embarrassing and upsetting. You put in all the work in a training camp, you run around selling tickets then it gets cancelled, you have to refund everyone and you look stupid. Once or twice, maybe but then you get to six or seven and you become a joke.

"All of that is very heavy and when it did get cancelled that time, I do remember thinking you know what maybe this isn't worth it, maybe I was just a bit of dreamer."

  16. Who has the better resume?published at 22:26 BST 9 May

    Wardley v Dubois

Fabio Wardley is yet to experience defeat, winning 20 and drawing one, and tonight marks his first world title fight after being elevated to WBO champion.

Wardley has garnered interest with late stoppage wins against Joseph Parker and Justis Huni, following his stunning first-round knockout win against Frazer Clarke, but is a relative newcomer to the top of the sport, with most of his previous opponents only boasting domestic and European level credentials.

Daniel Dubois, who makes his 26th ringwalk this evening, has been around the elite operator picture since 2021 - winning the WBA 'interim' title before becoming 'regular' champion in 2022 - and he finally got his hands on a world title in 2024 when he was upgraded to IBF champion.

Along the way, Dubois has faced some of the biggest names in the division, losing twice to Oleksandr Usyk and beating ranked opponents in Anthony Joshua, Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic.

    Frampton Q&A

    Carl Frampton
Retired world champion and DAZN analyst

Who is boxing’s P4P number one – do you agree it’s Naoya Inoue and why?

"I think Olesksandr Usyk is number one. Inoue may be at second. I think with everything that Usyk has done at cruiserweight and heavyweight and how easy it's been for him. For me, Usyk is still number one."

  18. How harsh is that quitter tag?published at 22:25 BST 9 May

    Wardley v Dubois

    Kal Sajad
BBC Sport at The Co-op Live Arena, Manchester

Daniel Dubois was labelled a quitter by some in the boxing world after he took a knee against Joe Joyce in 2020. It felt a little harsh at the time.

Dubois was only in his early 20s and had a fractured orbital bone. He faced similar flak after two defeats to the great Oleksandr Usyk, but Dubois has proven he can fight fire with fire, knocking out Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic and Anthony Joshua after taking some heavy shots.

The question remains though, which Dubois will we see tonight?

  20. Dubois' best winspublished at 22:22 BST 9 May

    Wardley v Dubois

Daniel Dubois has an incredible resume. He's fought the elite in the heavyweight division - coming up short against Oleksandr Usyk.

Did we mention he is only 28?

Here are three of his best wins...

I'm sure you all remember this one.

Less than two years ago, Dubois shocked the world with a fifth-round KO win over Anthony Joshua.

Dubois picked up the IBF interim heavyweight title with an eighth-round TKO win over the talented Filip Hrgovic.

It was the biggest win of Dubois' career at the time.

This was a real slog of a win against Jarrell Miller in Saudi.

I'm not sure you can question Dubois' heart after watching this fight.
