    Andre Ward
Retired two-weight world champion on Netflix

Mkahmudov's coach is earning every single penny he's getting tonight. He is pleading, reaching into all of his years of experience to try and turn the course of this fight.

    Fury v Makhmudov

    David Haye
Former world heavyweight champion on Netflix

Makhmudov is starting to stand up straight, leaning away from shots. It's a bad place to be in against someone with such long arms and speed.

  3. Round eightpublished at 22:37 BST 11 April

    Fury v Makhmudov

It's not vintage Fury just yet - we need to take into account his inactivity over the last 15 months - but we're getting glimpses of the fighter that became a two-time world champion.

Fury flicks out a jab, steps to the side and whips across a hook.

Makhmudov's head is on the centre line constantly. Fury backs off into the corner and perfectly times a left hook counter before flipping the positions and opening up his hands.

Fury looks like he's turning up the tempo and squeezes through an uppercut before stepping off again.

That was Fury's best round so far. For a moment he looked like he had Makhmudov in trouble.

Absolutely wild throwing by Makhmudov. I cannot see this going the 12 rounds. Not sure if Fury is just playing with him, or just working on a few things for future contests.

  5. Round sevenpublished at 22:33 BST 11 April

    Fury v Makhmudov

    More of the same.

Fury continues to pick off Makhmudov at will. This is the type of fight I thought we would get tonight.

It's so comfortable for him at the moment.

  6. In the cornerspublished at 22:33 BST 11 April

    Fury v Makhmudov

Fury's corner, which includes Sugarhill Steward, seem very happy with his performance so far. "Be patient" is the advice from Steward.

In Makhmudov's corner, his coach Marc Ramsay is asking for more from his fighter. Wants to see more use of the Russian's jab.

I've got Fury ahead, but I don't think he's having every round go his way. He's started to look more in control once again in those last two rounds.

Currently, I have it 58-56 Fury.

    Round 4: 10-9 Makhmudov

    Fury v Makhmudov

    Andre Ward

One minute Fury has been right-handed, the next left-handed. I wonder if Makhmudov has trained for a left-handed fight, or if he's had different sets of sparring partners?

  9. Round sixpublished at 22:29 BST 11 April

    Fury v Makhmudov

Fury is forced into the corner again but is very slick to slide out of the way and reverse the position.

Will he turn on the style at some point and look to close this out with a statement finish? Or is Fury happy to coast through this to claim a comfortable points win and get some rounds in the bank?

Fury flicks out three successive jabs, circles away and then looks to the crowd and starts to showboat.

  10. Round fivepublished at 22:26 BST 11 April

    Fury v Makhmudov

Makhmudov might have scraped the barrell of his gas tank in that previous round. He's looking to clinch at every opportunity now.

Fury has the tools and IQ to still land in those scenarios, though, and digs in to the body before creating some range and putting a short hook on Makhmudov's chin.

Tyson Fury has been off for [almost] 16 months. If Anthony Joshua is next, then he needs rounds.

    David Haye

It doesn't look like Fury is in any type of stress here. It is a 12 round fight, there is no need to rush. Every round that goes by, Makhmudov's tank goes down.

  13. 'Eyes on the prize'published at 22:22 BST 11 April

    Fury v Makhmudov

Anythony Joshua speaking ringside: "Fans have come out to see the British boxers. It's been a really good undercard. Boxing is thriving in the UK.

"I got my eyes on the prize, 100%. You know what I'm here for. It's been a long time coming, [Tyson Fury] has been out for a long time and he's back now. Be in the deep end really soon."

Is the plan to fight Fury next? "The plan is right hand, left hook, right hand, left hook until something connects. I am a very powerful guy and very hungry."

  14. Round fourpublished at 22:21 BST 11 April

    Fury v Makhmudov

Makhmudov looked like he was wilting but he's out of the traps quickly. A looping right lands on Fury's jaw. Fury can't afford to switch off against someone who still possess a lot of power.

Fury is forced on to the ropes and Makhmudov gets through with a left this time.

Just as the round is getting away from Fury, he starts to use his footwork again, stepping out of the way and turning Makhmudov on to the ropes.

Makhmudov might have snatched a round back.

    Fury v Makhmudov

Fury was willing to give Makhmudov the first few rounds, let him blow off. Once that initial gas is gone, Fury can relax and start playing with him.

  17. Round threepublished at 22:17 BST 11 April

    Fury v Makhmudov

Makhmudov already looks to be breathing pretty heavily.

Fury changes to a southpaw stance and flicks out the jab. One, two, three and then he circles away and switches back to orthodox. He's starting to enjoy himself.

Those barrelling attacks from Makhmudov just aren't there anymore and the momentum has shifted.

Fury crashes a one-two off Makhmudov's chin and the Russian clinches before looking up to the clock.

  18. Round twopublished at 22:13 BST 11 April

    Fury v Makhmudov

Makhmudov comes again with the same approach - a left to the chest and the looping right. This time Fury takes a step back and stabs out a jab. That's better.

Fury starts to find his groove - he has been out of action for 15 months in fairness - and gets to work behind the jab.

He sidesteps Makhmudov and turns the Russian into the corner before opening up his hands.

    Fury v Makhmudov

    David Haye
Former world heavyweight champion on Netflix

Makhmudov is not a very cultured boxer, all of his assaults are very crude.

Fury is looking to take the steam out of him and put on a boxing masterclass. He is getting in to his own now.
