Field goal - Raiderspublished at 21:52 GMT 28 December 2025

New York Giants 7-3 Las Vegas Raiders

Vegas get on the board thanks to a Daniel Carlson field goal from 42 yards out.

  2. Fumblepublished at 21:50 GMT 28 December 2025

    Philadelphia Eagles 0-0 Buffalo Bills

    Josh Allen fumbles again!

The Bills QB looks to throw but the ball squirms out and the Eagles recover. This could well turn out to be an incomplete pass rather than a fumble - the play is under review.

  3. Get Involved - Time for Tomlin to leave Steelers?published at 21:50 GMT 28 December 2025

    NFL have your say

Have to say, I think it's time for Tomlin/Rodgers to go. Tomlin can be too rigid (which explains the choice of Rodgers), but both are well past their best now and we really do need to actually start undertaking a proper rebuild and move on. I'd also be inclined to say, to borrow a leaf from the page of English Football, that a change of ownership would probably do the club some good (they're just as static as Tomlin when it comes to changing with the times), but I can't see that happening.

    Ethan, Preston

Aaron Rodgers had only committed to one year with the Steelers but many fans have voiced their frustration with long-serving head coach Mike Tomlin this year. It would be a seismic change for the Rooney family to sell up though. They have owned the team since it was founded in 1933.

Josh Allen isn't struggling now though!

On the very next play the Bills quarterback finds Brandin Cooks wide open on the left with a 50-yard bomb. Wow!

Now it's the Bills' turn to struggle with the rain - Josh Allen fumbles from the snap but recovers.

  6. touchdown

    Touchdown - Giantspublished at 21:47 GMT 28 December 2025

New York Giants 7-0 Las Vegas Raiders

Touchdown in Vegas! And it's the Giants who strike first as Devin Singletary scores on a one-yard rush.

Jaxson Dart takes his side 44 yards in five plays off the back of the Geno Smith interception to take the lead in this battle of the 2-13 sides.

  7. Eagles puntpublished at 21:45 GMT 28 December 2025

    Philadelphia Eagles 0-0 Buffalo Bills

We might have jinxed the Eagles there - Dallas Goedert lets a Jalen Hurts pass slip through his wet gloves, and that sets up fourth down.

Will Shipley can't get a first down on the ground and the Eagles's second possession ends with another punt.

    NFL have your say

As a new fan of NFL I couldn’t pick a better time to pick up the sport. Although I haven’t picked a team yet, I have to say if Buffalo pick up a good result tonight, they are strong contenders for the Super Bowl.

You're not wrong Liam... welcome to the party!

  9. Postpublished at 21:43 GMT 28 December 2025

    Philadelphia Eagles 0-0 Buffalo Bills

Two plays, two runs for the Eagles as Saquon Barkley earns a fresh set of downs.

It's absolutely tipping it down in Buffalo tonight - ball security has to be a focus for both teams.

  10. Poor start in Vegaspublished at 21:38 GMT 28 December 2025

New York Giants 0-0 Las Vegas Raiders

Two drives each so far in Vegas, and the teams have gone punt-punt-punt-interception.

Geno Smith at least breaking the run of punts, but by throwing an interception. What more did you expect from this one?

We're underway in Buffalo, where the 11-4 Bills are hosting the 10-5 Philadelphia Eagles.

The Bills need to win if they are to go into week 18 with a chance of pipping the New England Patriots to the AFC East crown.

The Eagles punted after a three and out, and now the Bills will punt after Josh Allen is sacked at the Bills 41.

  12. Winner takes all - final game showdownspublished at 21:28 GMT 28 December 2025

There's only two play-off spots remaining but results tonight mean they'll both come down to final-game shootouts next week.

Carolina visit Tampa Bay to decide the NFC South winner and fourth seed in the NFC, while the Ravens play the Steelers - one of the most fierce rivalries in the league - with the winner taking the AFC North and the loser packing their bags for the season.

    Can't wait for these....

    • Carolina Panthers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
    • Baltimore Ravens @ Pittsburgh Steelers

Make no mistake, Jacksonville are the real deal.

After a dismal defeat by the Rams at Wembley in October, the Jaguars have won eight out of nine to reach the play-offs and improve to a 12-4 record.

They came from behind to grind out another victory today, with Trevor Lawrence passing for 263 yards and running in two touchdowns.

If they secure an eighth straight win at home to Tennessee next week, they will go into the post-season as the AFC South champions. Who would have thought that after their trip to London?!

Philip Rivers, meanwhile, threw for one touchdown and one interception on what could be his final NFL start after the 44-year-old grandfather came out of retirement for the Colts.

Drake Maye put on an absolute clinic in New York as he sliced the Jets apart during just under three quarters before Mike Vrabel waved off the fight and gave his star quarterback a rest.

Maye led touchdown drives on all six of his possessions, throwing for five touchdown passes and 256 yards - completing 19 of his 21 pass attempts in a sublime showing that once again pressed his MVP claims.

The Pats could clinch the AFC East if the Bills lose against the Eagles tonight.

  16. Get Involved - no stopping the Eagles?published at 21:20 GMT 28 December 2025

    NFL have your say

I know there are great teams this season in the Seahawks, Broncos and Patriots but I can’t help but think a win tonight v Bills and there’s no stopping the Eagles. Clutch when it matters. Time will tell

    David Matthew, Coventry

We're not talking too much about the Philadelphia Eagles, but the division is safely sewn up and they're defending Super Bowl champs after all. Shouldn't they be favourites?

  17. Live now - Eagles at Bills in potential Super Bowl match-uppublished at 21:15 GMT 28 December 2025

    BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Tonight's late games are under way, with the New York Giants facing the Las Vegas Raiders in what some have dubbed the 'toilet bowl' as they are the only NFL teams with just two wins.

Defending champions Philadelphia then visit Buffalo (21:25 GMT) and we will have live radio commentary on that potential Super Bowl dress rehearsal.

Coverage has already begun and you can listen by clicking on the 'listen live' tab at the top of this page.

  18. Get Involved - Time for Tomlin to leave Steelers?published at 21:09 GMT 28 December 2025

    NFL have your say

Sorry, but it's time for Tomlin to go quietly into the night. Even if the Steelers win next week against the enemy, it's another season just scraping through to the play-offs, with little or no progress and no real belief that we can win against the top seeds on the road in the playoffs. I love Rodgers, he is a legend of the game, but using vets to plug the poor draft calls and bang average recruitment can't go on and a new coach with a new approach is needed. We are no closer to another Super Bowl win now than we were a decade ago and Terrible Towel fans shouldn't accept mediocrity any longer.

    Seattle Seahawks 27-10 Carolina Panthers

It's all over in Carolina, with the Panthers dropping to 8-8.

It was a day to forget for quarterback Bryce Young, who completed 14 of 24 pass attempts for just 54 yards, while rushing for 27 yards.

They remain top of the NFC South thanks to the Buccaneers losing to the Miami Dolphins, but now face the Bucs in a winner-takes-all showdown in Tampa next week.

The Seattle Seahawks can now sit back and watch how the San Francisco 49ers and LA Rams get on before figuring out what they need to do in week 18 to clinch the NFC West and the no.1 seed.
