Julie Anderson Julie joined us to share even more of her enthusiasm and
to answer your questions about the series and her career.
After gaining a zoology degree from Edinburgh University,
she spent five years studying primates in a series of exotic locations
from Kenya to Thailand. In fact it was in Kenya that Executive Producer
Nigel Pope spotted her, on The Really Wild Show. This was followed by
an appearance on Vets in The Wild.
Not long after this, she returned to Britain to complete
her doctorate in primatology...or so she thought. In early 2001, she was
signed up by BBC Scotland to present the series. She was delighted to
take time out from her studies and join the production team for a year-long
Scottish Safari.
