"I paint - mostly still life. They are quiet paintings. It's a quiet studio - apart from the radio. Mostly the programmes are fantastic, sometimes annoying. Whichever, it often seeps into the painting, I'm not sure how, it just does. It's not to do with the specific content - there aren't that many items on pots, space or folds of material, after all. Neverthless, it's inspirational - all I know is it makes a difference to me and so it makes a difference to the paintings. Thank you, Radio 4."
