This year the winners of the BBC Radio 3 Awards for World Music were announced at a special event at Dingwalls club in Camden on 10th April and broadcast the following day.

Kaushiki Chakrabarty (vocals); Sanju Sahai (tabla); Ajoy Joglekar (harmonium); Ranjana Ghatak (tanpura). Kaushiki won the 2005 Award for World Music in the Asia/Pacific category and opened this year's awards.
