| Here
you can find a Neolithic burial mound that dates back 5,500
years. The tomb has been excavated so that visitors can go into
the passage grave, and there is also a reconstructed neolithic
house and activity area. Two chapels sit on top of the mound,
and there are geology and archaeology galleries. There is also
a German bunker from World War II, which houses a memorial to
Channel Island slave-workers. |

| Jersey's
rural heritage comes alive in this example of a traditional
Jersey farm. The houses and outbuildings have been restored
to mimic life in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. The museum
is full of characters who talk about what Jersey was like when
they were alive, and demonstrate bygone skills. There is also
an environmental trail and a sensory garden. |

| This
castle was built in the 13th century to protect the island from
the French. It is one of the best preserved castles in Britain
and is also one of the most photographed sites in the island.

Elizabeth

| This
castle was built in the 1590's, and was named after Queen Elizabeth
I by Sir Walter Raleigh. The castle is filled with exhibitions
explaining its role in Jersey's history. The site also houses
the Hermitage, a small chapel dedicated to Saint Helier. |

War Tunnels

| The
Jersey War Tunnels were built between October 1941 and January
1944 using forced and slave labour. They were originally built
as artillery barracks and ammunition stores, but were converted
into a bomb-proof casualty station. The tunnels house the exhibition
'Captive Island', which follows the history of the German Occupation
of Jersey. |

| This
is the only remaining working mill in Jersey, after it was restored
in the 1970's by the Jersey Heritage Trust. There is a display
on milling and mills, and a National Trust shop. |

Grosnez

| On
the cliffs at Les Landes you can find the ruins of Grosnez castle,
built during the 1330's. Just along the cliff top is a guntower,
built during the German occupation, along with bunkers and other
fortifications. Just along from this is Le Pinacle - this rock
formation was used as a site of ritual worship during neolithic
times. |

| These
barracks were built at the time of the Napoleonic wars. There
is information on the bay's military past, and a display of
horse drawn carriages. |

The
Glass Church

| The
glasswork in this church (including the font, altar rail, cross
and pillars) was created by Rene Lalique, and is considered
to be among his greatest achievements. The glass is truly unique,
as the mould was broken after the glass was produced. |
