"No security crisis currently dey, no invasion, or coordinated attack on any school or community in Ibeju-Lekki, Imota, Oke-Afo, or any oda part of Lagos State," di police say.

"Na so some pipo begin dey spread fake news wey make pipo dey run to go carry dia pikin for school."

Oga Caleb Ijioma, director of Roundcheck, organisation wey dey fact-check fake tori, say e don see di videos wey dey circulate about bandits for Lagos, but no be so e be.

E say di videos don create fear for di mind of pipo. Oga Ijioma say some of di videos na old ones wey pipo dey reshare.

"Di problem no be about if dis na true and not, na di mistrust for di security institutions to protect citizens."

"And tdie reason why dis unrelated events continue to spread na becos of fear. Fear say we no get strong security institution, fear sake of how dem see oda states dey battle insecurity."
