Young singer sue Jason Derulo for sexual harassment

US star Jason Derulo don chop accuse of sexual harassment for one legal case wey one singer wey dey signed to im record label chop.

Emaza Gibson, wey bin gbab offer for one recording contract wit Derulo imprint, now dey sue am, for allege say e bin end dia working relationship afta she deny am sexual advances.

Ms Gibson bin tell NBC News say she dey "traumatized" sake of di experience.

Derulo don deny di claims, e call dem "complete lie and hurtful".

Ms Gibson, wey be 25, bin file her complaint against Derulo, 34, on Thursday for Los Angeles Superior Court, say e "maliciously" promise her success, den deny her di opportunity.

She allege quid pro quo sexual harassment – e mean say sometin need give for sometin like sexual harassment, breach of contract and intimidation and violence, among oda complaints.

"Dis point for my life right now, e dey very heart-breaking," she tok for one interview wit tori pipo on Wednesday. "I get anxiety, I dey traumatized. I don deal wit inhumane work situations.

"I dey dis point wia I dey back to zero and I get nothing."

For court documents, Ms Gibson say Derulo offer her one contract wit im label Future History for August 2021, and dem begin work togeda dat November.

However, she claim say di singer dey repeatedly pressure her to socialise wit am, and say e get "straight forward demand for sex-in-exchange-for-success".

For one occasion, e allegedly tell her say she go need take part for one sex ritual wey dem dey call "goat skin and fish scales" - wey involve to sacrifice goat and take cocaine. Ms Gibson also claim say dem make her use '"inappropriately large amounts of alcohol".

Her lawyer, Ron Zambrano, tok for statement say Derulo "behaviour toward dis young artist dey offensive".

"E no only break promises and breach contracts, but im threats of physical harm and unconscionable sexual advances toward dis young woman wey just dey try break into di industry dey outrageous and illegal."

For statement wey im post to im Instagram account, Derulo say: "I tanda against all forms of harassment and remain committed to support pipo wey dey chase dia dreams".

E add: "I strive to live my life for one positively-impacting way, so I dey deeply offended by dis defamatory allegations."

Ms Gibson, wey her contract wit Atlantic Records dey terminated for September 2022, dey seek to claim unpaid wages, loss of earnings, and deferred compensation, as well as further damages for emotional distress and employment benefits.

She list Derulo, im manager Frank Harris, Atlantic Records, RCA Records and Derulo Future History imprint - one joint venture wit RCA – for di case.
