Pheobe's
"designer" lunchbox. |
|

Collect
all equipment first. |
|
You
will need
A pair of scissors
Masking tape
Card
Enamel paint
(at least two colours)
Plain plastic
lunchbox
Paintbrushes
(and some pain brush cleaner)
N.B. Wear some protective clothing
|
Step
1
Draw
a small bold design onto the card. We have chosen a fish.
|
A
simple design works best.
|
|
You
may need an adult to help.
|
|
Step
2
Cut out the
centre of the design creating a stencil. Leave enough of a border
around the stencil so that it can be taped into position on
your lunchbox. Repeat
this process at least four times.
|
Step
3
Tape all four of the stencils in position
on your lunchbox in whatever pattern you chose. We have put
two fish along the top and two along the bottom leaving the
middle free. |
We
like the fishy option!
|
|
Don't
forget to wear an apron.
|
|
Step
4
Now
you can paint the stencils. Take a brush an choose a colour.
Dab paint through the stencils onto the lunchbox until evenly
covered. Leave
to dry then
carefully
lift the stencil off.
|
Step
5
Take
another colour and using a small brush, paint your name along
the centre of the box or wherever you like. Make
sure you space the letters out. Add some wave shapes and paint
in some eyes onto the fish.
