England are just one win away from reaching the final of the Women's T20 World Cup.

They face South Africa on Thursday evening at The Oval in London in their must-win semi-final match.

But it won't be easy for the hosts, as South Africa have finished the previous two tournaments as runners-up.

The winner will play six-time champions Australia, who beat West Indies in the other semi-final.

England progressed to the semi-final against South Africa with five wins from five in Group 2, and a series of impressive performances.

However, the pressure is on, as it's been eight years since England last made the final of the tournament.

They'll be hoping opening batter Danni Wyatt-Hodge can continue her amazing form.

She currently leads the tournament's run-scoring charts.

South Africa finished second in Group 1 behind Australia to make it through to the semi-final.

England are currently unbeaten in the tournament, but will need to make sure they stay focused for Thursday's match.

South Africa have beaten England in the sides' past two semi-final meetings - at the 2023 T20 World Cup, and last year's 50-over World Cup.

Australia made it through to the final of the Women's T20 World Cup following a comfortable 8 wicket over West Indies at The Oval.

Set just 126 by West Indies to win, six-time champions Australia dominated the match and reached their target with seven overs to spare.

The result means that Australia remain unbeaten at this tournament.

This year's women's T20 World Cup final takes place on Sunday 5 July at Lord's Cricket Ground in London.
