    Grandfather of three Graham Walker, 85, tells me he played for Coventry City in the 50s.

    He says he was the centre-half understudy to George Curtis, playing mainly in the reserves although he played one friendly for the first team.

    “I have supported Coventry City since I played. It is magnificent. This last season has been wonderful. It has lifted the city. Next year will be special," he told me.

    What an afternoon - the players loved it, the fans loved it - even when they were hanging off traffic lights to see!

    But don't head away Coventry fans, we'll be bringing you interviews from the bus with the players in the next hour or so along with the performers at the festival.

    Tom Grennan is interviewed at the parade in front of a yellow porta cabin. He is wearing a beige waterproof jacket and brown sunglasses.

    At the park, Tom Grennan has been speaking to BBC CWR and he told us that today's gig would mean more to him than others and would be one he would look back on in years to come.

    He said: "This is one [gig] that I'll look back on and I'll think wow - what a special moment to do this for the city of Coventry.

    "This city has taken me in and called me one of their own, and it doesn't ever get better than that. Every time I'm down here I feel like I'm from Cov.

    "My grandma's from Cov, so it does run through my blood. I wasn't born here, and I wasn't brought up here but now that I am a Coventry City man, it's just amazing."

    We have reached the end of the route, at Hearsall Common, and it ended like it began - with huge crowds cheering this parade.

    Now all the players along with us reporters are heading to the War Memorial Park now at speed as the celebrations continue!

    Everyone has been trying to get the best view, on bus stops, scaffolding - even on traffic lights!

    The Holyhead's assistant manager Melissa Rhule says they are hoping to make £25,000 from food and drink sales today.

    "We’ve put so much into this: decorated, brought in plastic cups, moved more furniture outside, reduced the food menu to make it quicker," she said.

    "This kind of event is so important for a pub like ours. We are a city pub. It means so much."

    People travelling around Coventry today are advised to plan ahead, as roads are busier due to the parade, with rolling road closures, external in place.

    Roads around the War Memorial Park are currently flooded with people making their way to the park.

    As a heads up, there is a cut-off to get inside the park for the promotion party - with no entry permitted after 15:00.

    There's also no on-site parking at the park itself, but the city council says all of its car parks will be open and free all day.
