What's happened so far?published at 09:49 GMT 12 November 2025
If you’re just joining our live coverage of Sara Cox’s Great Northern Marathon Challenge for BBC Children in Need, here’s what’s been going on…
- Radio 2’s Sara Cox is feeling the pain on Day 3 of her challenge - and has even had to resort to walking backwards.
- But she's been spurred on by your generosity, with over £1million raised so far.
- Throughout this week, Sara’s mission is to cover 135 miles on foot carrying a special Pudsey Bear backpack to Pudsey in West Yorkshire, powered by northern grit and a whole lot of listener love.
- She's just arrived in the village of Hamsterley in County Durham, aiming to reach the town of Richmond in North Yorkshire by this evening.
Stay tuned for regular updates, photos and videos as Sara continues her epic journey!
