  18. What happens if there is a tie?published at 22:47 BST 13 May 2017

    Well, since you asked...

If two or more songs get a tie then the song which obtains a better ranking from the PUBLIC vote is handed that glittering, glass trophy.

  19. Voting explainedpublished at 22:40

This is arguably the most important vote you will cast this year. (Wait there's a WHAT happening on the 8th of June?!)

In the olden days, the contest was initially judged by professional juries and only then was it opened to the public for a vote over the phone.

But this annoyed quite a lot of people who started accusing the competition of political 'Bloc Voting' with the idea that little Euro cliques would all vote for you. Here's looking at you Balkan states. And so it was decreed that a new dual system would be decreed across the kingdom of Eurvision.

Last year, the juries from each country awarded 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12 points to the songs they loved the most. These points were revealed by a national spokesperson. Last year ours was Richard Osman (obviously).

Viewers from each country also voted via phone or SMS, awarding 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12 points given to their favourite songs. Then, all the results from each country's public votes will be combined to give one overall Eurovision viewer score per song.

Spokespersons from each country read out the jury results - those all important douze points - during the live show: Katrina from Katrina and the Waves is doing us this year.

Then the three Ukrainian presenters will then read out the results of the European PUBLIC vote (keep up grandpa) in ascending order, beginning with the county that received the lowest number of televotes - public votes - and finishing with the country that received the highest.

Crikey, I need to go lie down after that.

  20. How much do you know about Eurovision's most ridiculous moments?published at 22:39 BST 13 May 2017

It's fair to say that we've seen some pretty daft stuff from Eurovision down the years.

From that year Ireland entered a Turkey to this year's Greek entry, which seems to feature one of those foot baths that you have to walk through before going into the swimming pool.

Just when you think you've seen it all, something else suitably bonkers is brought up every year.

In fact, our friends at BBC Radio 2 have come up with a quiz about just how silly the Eurovision Song Contest can be.

Why not give it a bash?
