  4. Frank Ocean calls Grammys 'faulty' with 'cultural bias'published at 23:25 GMT 12 February 2017

Now it's all gone a bit "my dad's harder than your dad" between US singer Frank Ocean and the people at the Recording Academy.

Frank didn't bother submitting his 2016 record for a Grammy, calling the awards "dated", external and out of touch with music by young black artists.

Over the weekend, Grammy producer Ken Ehrlich suggested Frank was still smarting from his critically-derided performance at the 2013 ceremony.

He said the star shunned advice from the organisers, resulting in a "faulty" performance that "wasn't great TV".

Frank hit back on Tumblr, saying: "We all die one day, and you're old."

He said the Grammys themselves were "faulty" and suggested they suffer from "cultural bias".

    Quote Message

Don’t you think I would’ve wanted to play the show to ‘redeem’ myself if I felt that way? In reality, I actually wanted to participate in honoring Prince on the show, but then I figured my best tribute to that man’s legacy would be to continue to be myself out here and to be successful. Winning a TV award doesn’t christen me successful."

So that's 2-1 to Frank. Your go, Academy.
