  3. Events you won't want to misspublished at 10:00 BST 15 October 2020

Here's a quick guide to what's happening as part of #MuseumPassion today.

Our very own freelance museum consultants Dan Vo and Sacha Coward will be hosting three live events. Watch them all be clicking on the play button at the top of page - each session will appear 15 minutes before starting.

    10.30am - Who'd be a Museum Director today?

It's a challenging time to be running a museum - and not only because Covid-19 has forced many organisations to close their doors. Our panel debate the biggest issues facing curators today.

1.45pm - What do Museums do for us?

Our panel of directors and curators to talk about the role that museums play in our communities today.

    4pm - Curator Battle

During lockdown, museums flocked to Twitter to share some of their best and quirkiest exhibits. We'll be setting them a new challenge today.

We'll also be sharing links, videos and live archaeology throughout the day. Don't go away.

  4. Share your #MuseumPassion herepublished at 17:23 BST 14 October 2020

Join us on Thursday 15 October from 10am for a day of live events as we celebrate our love of museums.

In March 2020, the nation's museums closed their doors to visitors. Some have now reopened, but with local lockdowns in place and ministers advising us all to reduce our contact with others, many of us are looking for alternative ways to get our cultural fix.

Today we'll be taking you on a virtual tour of some of the United Kingdom's coolest, quirkiest and most iconic attractions. Since March, the Museums in Quarantine team have been patrolling empty galleries to capture the exhibitions we've missed, and we'll be sharing the results here. Our freelance curators Dan and Sasha will be hosting live debates on how to celebrate our culture in the time of coronavirus, and we'll be teeming up with organisations around the country to celebrate our #MuseumPassion on social media.

Pack your sandwiches and get your guidebook ready. It's going to be a great day in.
