EPISODE 1: HIRO'S STORY...
The second hand of his clock ticks in Hiro Nakamura's work cubicle. He closes his eyes and concentrates. The second hand stops, ticks backwards, then continues on its usual journey. With a shout, Hiro runs to his friend Ando to tell him he has successfully manipulated time.
Later, still convinced that the power of his mind enables him to bend time and space, Hiro accepts a challenge from Ando; to materialise in the women's bathroom of a local bar. He manages it and the pair are kicked out of the pub, but Ando still doesn't believe him.
Undeterred by Ando's scepticism, Hiro makes his way home on the Tokyo subway. Enthused after his success in the bar, Hiro wants to test his power again. Where should he go? A poster of New York provides the answer. When Hiro opens his eyes, he finds himself in the middle of Times Square.
