What to Bring / Prohibited items
We take the safety and security of our audiences very seriously and will be conducting searches upon entry to the event site, including the use of security wands and sniffer dogs.
Gates for this year’s events will open at 17:00 on Friday and 11:00 on Saturday and Sunday.
Bag Policy
In the interest of safety, only 1 bag is permitted per person with the following dimensions W21cm X H30cm X D8cm - no bigger than A4. We’ll be searching every bag that comes into the event. We may also search bags once you are in the arena.
Food for personal consumption can be brought into the event but must fit within the permitted bag size.
Chair Policy
Ticket holders who have purchased a ‘General Admission – Bring Your Own Chair’ ticket can bring one folding chair. Only one chair per ticket is permitted with the following dimensions: W60cm x H98cm X D68cm. Chairs larger than the specified dimensions will not be allowed into the event
Customers cannot bring a chair of any kind to the event unless they have the correct ticket.
General Admission – No Chair allows general admission into the event arena, and does not allow the ticketholder to bring a chair.
General Admission – Bring Your Own Chair allows general admission into the event arena and allows the ticketholder to bring a chair from home. The chair size must meet the specified guidelines and be placed in the designated chair zone on site.
VIP - You are permitted to bring your own chair to the event with this ticket type. Customers with this ticket can only set up their chairs within the designated area on site as signposted and depicted on the site map.
Friday Tickets - you are NOT permitted to bring a chair to the event on Friday 11th September. If you require an accessible ticket please see our Accessibility page for more information.
'General Admission – Bring Your Own Chair' and 'VIP' tickets is available to purchase for Saturday and Sunday. Customers with the correct chair ticket can only set up their chairs within the designated area on site as signposted and depicted on the site map. For safety reasons, and to ensure the comfort of those attending the event, the management reserves the right to reduce the overall footprint of the designated chair area.
- The front of the chair zone will be 79m from the front of the main stage.
- The centre of the chair zone will be 130m from the front of the main stage.
- No chairs can be placed outside of the dedicated zones.
Chairs are only valid with a 'General Admission – Bring Your Own Chair' and 'VIP' ticket.
Things to bring with you
- A charged phone with the Radio 2 in the Park app installed! Please ensure you have downloaded your ticket in the Radio 2 in the Park App to be scanned on entry.
- Clothes for any weather eventuality - hat, sunglasses, rainwear, warm clothing etc. Remember check out the latest weather before you come to the event!
- Sunscreen.
- Empty re-usable bottles of any size, metal or plastic (no glass) are permitted. Bottles must be sealed and untampered or empty so that they are not used for bringing in alcohol. You may be asked to dispose of liquid from any unsealed bottles. Please refill your empty bottles at the water points inside the arena for free.
- Debit Card / Contactless payment - the event will operate as a contactless site so you can pay with debit card & Apple / Google pay.
- Bring ID if you are lucky enough to look under 18 in order to be admitted to the festival. We operate the Challenge 25 Policy and you may be asked for ID to verify your age when purchasing alcohol. We accept the following forms of ID: a valid passport; a valid EU photo card driving licence; or a photographic ID card with the National Proof of Age Standards Scheme – PASS - hologram.
Prohibited Items
The following articles are not permitted within at this event:
- Aerosols
- Air horns
- Alcohol (unless purchased on site)
- Animals other than registered assistance dogs
- Audio visual equipment and cinematographic equipment
- Backpack hydration packs
- Balloons
- Banners
- Barbeques (including disposable barbeques and camping stoves)
- Bicycles
- Blow torches
- Candles or naked flames
- Cans
- Chairs are not permitted at Friday’s event. Chairs are only permitted on Saturday and Sunday with the correct purchased ticket. Customers cannot bring a chair of any kind to the event unless they have the correct ticket. Please see our FAQ page for more information on bringing chairs to this event.
- Child ‘pull along’ wagons/carts
- Cork screws, cheese and bread knives (unless wooden or plastic cutlery)
- Dangerous or hazardous items
- Drones
- Drugs and illegal substances, including so called legal highs
- Fireworks
- Flags & Flag poles
- Flares
- Gas canisters (including aerosols over 250ml and nitrous oxide / CO2 Dispensers)
- Gazebos, tents or shelters
- Generators
- Glass items of any kind (including bottles, dishes, drinking vessels, perfume or aftershave)
- Golf / large umbrellas (1 metre or more)
- Hampers or cool boxes
- Inflatable chairs or sofas
- Kites
- Knives, metal or ceramic knives or cutlery
- Laser devices
- Megaphones
- No medication unless recognisable or accompanied by a doctor’s note or prescription,
- Picnic blankets/blankets
- Professional photography equipment
- Selfie Sticks
- Sky or Chinese lanterns
- Smoke or gas canisters/cylinders (including aerosols and nitrous oxide)
- Sound systems
- Spray cans
- Tables
- Unauthorised items for trading, including any goods using unauthorised event logos
- Unauthorised reflective jackets / hi-vis vest
- Unidentifiable substances
- Weapons, dangerous or hazardous item. Any article that might be used as a weapon and / or compromise public safety including unofficial tabards / high-viz.
- Zoom lenses
Please note that confiscated items cannot be returned upon exiting the festival site.
