Privatised incinerator suggested
Waste landfill site
The incinerator at Bellozanne needs to be replaced
Jersey politicians have been told they should consider partly privatising any future island rubbish incinerator.

A Shadow Scrutiny Panel has published its report on waste management and says any rubbish strategy should not be debated until all options are explored.

Public Services says the incinerator at Bellozanne must be replaced by 2008.

The panel not enough attention had been given to how the incinerator would be paid for if the plans went ahead. It has suggested partly privatising it.
