Election bosses will poll voters
More people in Jersey are being encouraged to sign up and vote in this year's elections.

Parish authorities are sending out 40,000 forms to homes across the island to update the electoral register.

The forms are aimed at people who recently qualified to vote, and those who have moved home.

The deadline to register for the Senatorial elections is 12 September. To vote in the Deputy election, the closing date is 24 October.

As well as the letters and forms from parish constables, there are also plans to set up temporary registration centres across the island during the summer.

The Privileges and Procedures Committee is also organising a campaign to urge people to use their votes.

Senatorial elections will be held in October. The Deputy elections are due to be held in November.
